Re: What is Gravity?
Before I answer the question in regards to the makeup of the ~3*10^15 kg per year, and how something of such mass could enter our atmosphere relatively undetected, I would like to ask a couple of questions please. 1) Where did the ~1,386,000,000 cu km that scientists currently estimate or 1.386*10^2...

Re: THE DERAILING ROOM
Hi Everyone, I must appologize. I did not appreciate what this forum is trying to achieve. I now have a better understanding of your goals and objectives. If I am correct, the purpose of this forum is to act as a credible resource, debunking disinformation and NonScience, that is peer reviewed throu...

Re: THE DERAILING ROOM
Nink, are you saying the Earth is expanding like a balloon rather than gaining mass? The earth is expanding like a balloon as a result of gaining mass. What is a "vacuume", sir-who-apparently-edits-Wikipedia-articles? And how are we so certain anything exists in "space"? Who too...

Re: THE DERAILING ROOM
The mass from meteors etc certainly accounts for a small amount of the gain but this is minimal in terms of the mass that is coming from the Sun. This comes in various forms, there is the obvious radiation such as xrays and ultraviolet radiation, there are charged protons and all of the various fro...

Re: Does Rocketry Work in the Vacuum?
I don't agree, I think the first step is to come clean and admit we were lied to and then go back to the drawing board and start at problem number 1 And we is who, that would start at problem number 1? Who else is pushing a space agenda besides those who want to steal money from 'taxpayers' to supp...

Re: What is Gravity?
Hi Hoi The attraction of gravity is always present and constant, its just the centre of the gravitational field that changes based on the central point of the combined radius of the two objects involved when they reach a point where they can no longer move any closer together. Back to the magnet exa...

Re: What is Gravity?
Nink, you would benefit more from the way you word your hypothesis if you could prove that a dinosaur dig site shows that a dinosaur existed: http://cluesforum.info/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1594 Can I please opt out of this discussion. My question is: If gravity is due to sheer mass, why don't clif...

Re: Does Rocketry Work in the Vacuum?
Great post and good summary of problems that are needed to be solved. If only there was an organization with a massive budget that was given the mission to solve them /sarc I don't think they are all unsolvable and the initial challenge would be to get something into space and not necesarilay a life...

Re: What is Gravity?
Hi Nink, curious to see your explanation/calculation (a rough one would be fine of course) for that idea. The Earth is thought to have the current mass roughly for 4.5 billion years now (since the Theia-proto-Earth collision), with some minor additional mass from meteorites. - how much mass do you ...

Re: What is Gravity?
My understanding is Gravity is the collection of mIcro and macroscopic forces that occur in the combined mass of objects. The greater the combined mass the greater the gravitational force , the closer the combined mass is to another combined mass the greater the attraction between the masses will be...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings
The obvious question that springs to mind, if the assumption is GPS satellites are simply terrestrial satellites (ie a series of ground based transmitters that send signals that are bounced off the ionosphere), could we not use multiple people at multiple known points to triangulate the location of ...

Re: Does Rocketry Work in the Vacuum?
Hi Hoi, I am pretty sure we could come up with an array of magnets that will repel in vacuum / zero G without one of them rotating 180 degrees (maybe 2 apposing rail guns) but that could be tested in a zero g plane and a vacuum chamber. I just used magnets as an example of repulsion between two obje...

Re: Does Rocketry Work in the Vacuum?
You might try actually reading the rest of this thread before posting. The thread isn't about wild theories on how to get a rocket to work in a vacuum. What does anything in your post have to do with "Joule Expansion"? Do you have any idea what that even is? Your theory is not much differ...

Re: Does Rocketry Work in the Vacuum?
Intesresting topic. Here is my theory but please poke holes in it. If you take 2 Magnets and place them north to north. Put the magnets in a vacuum and let go. Despite being in a vacuum the magnets will repel each other and both magnets will move in opposite directions. Perhaps this is the real reas...
