Re: What is Gravity?
I am reading 'A Theory of Natural Philosophy' by Roger Boscovitch, written in 1763. I found out about the book, as Tesla said it was his favorite book. Boscovitch was a Croatian philosopher, who shocked the scientific world of the day with his theory, causing massive debate. He starts from some simp...

There is the thought that simply dropping the weight out the back can make the ship go forwards. But that is not true, I can be travelling at 50km/hr in a car, and lift up a suitcase, maneuver it so it is hanging over the back bumper of the car, then drop the suitcase so it falls on the ground behin...

Re: Japanese Disabled Care Home Knife Attack
For the governments, the huge and rapidly growing payments to the disabled and elderly present major problems, beyond just fiscal sustainability. Only the working population matters for power, as they are the only ones producing wealth and thus have bargaining power. See unions and why powerful enti...

Re: Simulacra and Simulation
When your ancestors had the wealth to be constructing churches in that area, they were wielding and demonstrating power in their present. Their growing power would have been supplanting whoever had that power before they arose. Alas, it sounds like they were later supplanted by yet another group. Wh...

Re: Simulacra and Simulation
I read the book, and its not about government created fakery - the author is a 100% believer in nuclear weapons, space travel, terrorism, etc. One of his arguments was about European countries attempting to preserve their heritage, but not really believing it or living it. My take from this argument...

The less a person knows that is true, the worse their decision making is going to be. For example young adults who go $150,000 in debt to get a degree in art history, and then are sad at 30 years old when they work part-time at a coffee shop. The poor college choices & reckless spending, were becaus...

Re: The Cold War Hoax
I think that you are right, at the center of these hoaxes, is that we need an even bigger, better funded & more powerful government. Something I read a long time ago, that made it easy to see, was the line 'everything is a business'. The local public health authority is a business. It is a non-profi...

This is entirely a form of reliable fuel for a police-State, which then must infinitely expand its military borders in order to take on new agrarians and "process" them in a perpetual activity that never ends and cannot end but which must rely on the premise of an infinite inhuman and "primitive" E...

Re: The Cold War Hoax
In the West we see the Islamic world through the lenses of our own society. Without seeing that a country like Iran is making the monumental transition from a society of rural farming villages & a feudal order, to the modern mega-urban area capitalist society. Families who live in villages for centu...

Re: The Cold War Hoax
Hence, control of language and dialogue is indeed a method of revolution. What Marx doesn't mention, and Mathis points out the dearth, is that the language and dialogue are controlled primarily through control of business/industry ("journalism", illusion technologies, mesmerizing technology, the 'c...

Re: The Cold War Hoax
ICFreely, that is where my opinion is leading now, that the last 2 centuries have mainly been a political struggle between the new industrialists that emerged in the industrial age, and the old power of the aristocracy. The aristocracy's position deriving from land titles, monopoly commerce licenses...

I have been wondering if players really make the incredible salaries claimed. I think it was Miles Mathis who pointed out that if people believe celebrities make incredible amounts of money, people are more likely to worship them, as a very important person. There are also ways of distorting income ...

Re: Engineering 'disease'
I've often wondered if chemo and radiation therapies succeed in shrinking tumors with the "side effect" of inducing starvation. Fasting does seem to help some medical conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. We are taught from a very early age we should eat 3 square meals per day and I ...

What bostonterrierowner said is more or less my thinking too. I believe there were only 2 civilizations in 1900 that were going to be staying in the game. The Anglo-Saxons & the Germans. The other nations in Europe, like Spain, Italy, France, Austria-Hungary, Russian Empire, Ottoman Empire - were no...

Unemployment is a strictly monetary/fiscal phenomenon, there is always shortage of labor , problem arises when one wants to be paid. What if I told you I would be your unpaid assistant and do stuff you don't like doing so you can rest, run whatever? There is always more stuff to do than available l...
