Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

Who are we "defaming" anyway? An Internet persona? Nobody can do that but yourself. I'm not peddling bullshit. By bullshit, I mean your entire persona. You demand respect but you give none. You claim the ISS is real but you haven't acknowledged the fake pictures. You imply all of it is re...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

If you chose neither, then please provide your name and address so that I may file a law suit against you. Yayyy! That's marvellous, Mr. Astronut! I would absolutely relish that you file a lawsuit against our common findings. Wait - hold on! I don't wish the tranquil, daily lives of the members of ...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

I was there, saw it myself, videoed it myself. It was no apparition. T4c18sJynC4 You wouldn't happen to have Parkinsons would you? How many rockets have you taken video of from about 12 miles away with that kind of magnification/spatial resolution? I'm going to make a wild ass guess and say "0...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

* Dear Astronut, This guy apparently captured both the shuttle and the ISS in great detail with a 20-year-old Newton telescope - and a Canon Eos 40D DSLR : Amateur photographer captures space shuttle from back garden http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/space/8356656/Amateur-photographer-captures-spa...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

Oh, let me guess, I explain and photograph all of it, which I'm happy to do, then one of you claims he wasn't able to find ISS and therefore it must be fake , even though he didn't really try. Sorry, but a claimed negative attempt does not disprove positive confirmation. We're not going to play tha...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

Aside from the ISS in daylight video, my best night video is probably this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E6bQcvT9W4 That's truly impressive, Astronut! So this would be your best night video of the ISS - dated 2011 ? :) As far as video's go, yes, I think that's my best night video. However, it se...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

On this supposed latest launch SpaceX Falcon 9 Blows an Engine at precisely 1:19 seconds, http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20121008/BREAKINGNEWS/121008004/SpaceX-reviewing-rocket-engine-failure?nclick_check=1. <_< dvTIh96otDw In this second article I particularly liked the quote below, http://ho...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

@astronut Did you clean the telescope lens prior shooting the ISS or whatever it is? Suggest you film the ISS again with a Soyuz rocket module docking or un-docking. That would be fabulous. B) That's an interesting one to note, Heiwa. Would we expect to see debris on the lens if the focu...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

I've seen attempts to fake ISS tracking videos. They sucked. They made several critical errors and failed to recreate all the aspects of a real video accurately. That's awesome, Astronut! I'm glad to hear that you are actually aware of the fact that there are clowns out there who produce fake image...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

As far as I see it, the only conspiracy here may be that you are trying to prove to your club that you are indeed the John Thomas of ISS tracking, afterall, I know that media fakery is real. I don't have to prove anything to my club, they know I'm for real, they've seen it with my scope in person. ...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

The premise is false. What "conspiracy" are you talking about? The one I have been accused of being a part of for the last few pages. If you are legitimate, and you don't want our investigation to include investigations into yourself, I don't like stalkers and I don't like false accusatio...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

Yes. I did use a 2x barlow for that image though. I also use a video capture card to digitize the video signal. I recently upgraded from the SDC-435 to a Mallincam (which uses the exact same type of OSD menu system, also uses analog video which has to be digitized, and is designed exclusively for a...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

Clearly you don't understand astrophotography or how apparent magnification works with CCDs. Funny, I also presented the STS-135 video to my fellow amateur astronomers. They know as well as I do that it's absolutely genuine. I don't get it. If I'd taken that footage, and if I knew I wouldn't be rum...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

Astronut, You talk a very good game regarding the equipment you use, almost to the point that I might believe that you are an honest-to-gosh real amateur astrophotographer. Also, I can understand why your club on the astrophotography site would think you a brilliant addition... after all you are ca...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE ISS

The hoaxster supposedly took the (phony) image above with the "modified" CCTV camera in a "prime focus configuration". That is bolted directly to the telescope, without using an eyepiece. Yes. I did use a 2x barlow for that image though. I also use a video capture card to digiti...
