Missing licenceplates in CBS video

Car 2 (maybe this one has something that resembles a plate, but clearly not visible):

Car 3:

I mean, what's deal with this. Of the 3 cars passing by, none of them seems to have a (readible) licenceplate. Isn't it forbidden in New York to drive around like this?

Are you certain of that?

Arizona, for instance, does not require a front plate, neither does Alberta, Canada.

Don't know for sure. I am not from the U.S.

In the U.S., the states of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts (most plates issued prior to 1988 - see note below), Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia require license plates only on the rear of the vehicle.

According to the pictures you can find on Goolge images, I can conclude that it is not normal for a NYPD van to have no front licence plate. They should have either a normal licence plate number or a number that displays the NYPD vehicle number.

I think it will be nice to gather video's and pictures which show cars without those plates. The reason for the perps for not showing a readable plate could be that it makes it impossible to trace back the cars to see if they really existed on september eleven 2001.

It also might be interesting to check out the different brands and models of the cars to see wheter every model they show actually existed back in 2001. It could be that they've made a mistake somewhere and that will be some good proof for video's being fake aswell if they show a care which actually came out in 2002 or later.

What are your thoughts on this?
