Mirrors on the Moon ?

If NASA faked the moon landings, does the agency have any credibility at all? Was the Space Shuttle program also a hoax? Is the International Space Station another one? Do not dismiss these hypotheses offhand. Check out our wider NASA research and make up your own mind about it all.

Another interesting detail I just learned is how small of a field of view can these giant observatory telescopes attain and how much detail can they resolve?

As it turns out, the Apache Point Observatory's big 3.5 meter telescope, according to http://www.apo.nmsu.edu/arc35m/Instruments/AGILE/ can achieve a 1.3 arcmin x 1.3 arcmin field of view with a resolution of 0.077 arcsec/pixel.

For something as far away as the Moon, 0.077 arcsec/pixel translates to about 143 square meters of lunar surface per pixel. It wouldn't even be able to resolve something the size of a football field on the Moon even if it were aimed right at it!

Interesting tidbit for those unfortunate souls who believe you can see remnants of the "landing" sites with a telescope!
