READ THIS before starting new threads in this area

Unread post by nonhocapito »

More often than not, new threads in this area appear after members suspect that something is faked. Although on the Cluesforum we have a pretty quick reaction time when it comes to spot fakery, an unbridled use of this particular area to voice our doubts might not be entirely appropriate.

As a general recommendation, this forum should contain only topics that feature compelling elements of media fakery.

In other words, there should be some degree of consensus (or evidence of blatant media manipulation) around an event before it ends up in this forum.

If at the moment of starting a new thread all you have are a few pictures/videos and some sneaking suspicion, please do not post in this forum.

Post in the General World Affairs forum first.

Rest assured that admins and mods will be more than happy to "promote" your topic as a "worldwide deception" -- even in a matter of hours if not minutes -- as soon as other members chime in or more evidence piles up.

This could become a way to make even more transparent the humble process of investigation and gathering of evidence, until it is possible to declare something a "deception" or "media fakery". It can also serve as a motivational trigger to encourage more investigations and demonstrative arguments.

Of course this is an "ideal" intention, not a dogma -- and should not be intended as a limitation of any sort. Open to comment and criticism.

Thanks for you collaboration, and happy hunting. :)
