This is a vid from Casey "It's raining oil down here in Louisiana" Nunez, one of the most prolifically-posting tools on YouTube during the (ahem) Gulf oil crisis.

This "TheGuyFromZhills", ew! I mean, yeah, the Giant Mutant Ninja Crabs guy is funny, but I was so creeped out by TheGuyFromZhills' forced, synthetic laughter, I could barely finish the video. My cat whiskers detected way too much malice in his aura.
Then, I went over and looked at his channel , and see he's a low-level gubmint flunky.
Matt Simmons is the primary "former" Bush Administration-associated architect of the "Peak Oil" agenda. I'm all for energy efficiency and equality (where is that Tesla technology old Nik tried to get out to us?) but I wonder why specifically Simmons is the character who keeps appearing to tell us that we are out of oil and warn us of the global agenda to raise grocery prices (and the price of everything else) for the average person ... is he the chosen messenger?
I have been trying to sort out this "Peak Oil" business for some time now and if there really is a problem, why is it always delivered and framed by reports and movies featuring Matt?
August 13, 2010 - age 67 - Simmons’ body was found Sunday night in his hot tub, investigators said. An autopsy by the state medical examiner’s office concluded Monday that he died from accidental drowning with heart disease as a contributing factor - “It was painful as can be” to be only insider willing to speak out against the "officials" during the BP Oil Disaster in the Gulf of Mexico
There's no doubt in my mind that this is the official closure of the Matthew Simmons character, but he has existed for about a decade in the public consciousnesses of the anti-corporate environmental movement. It seems a real possibility that, based on his very tiny back story, his endorsement of certain aspects of the "oil spill" hoax, as well as his CFR and Bush connections, that he was a sim. But if so, he got animated in a few movies about "Peak Oil" ... probably worth examining closer.
The British Petroleum oil leak was capped in July of 2010. A year afterwards, the tourists are returning to the Gulf beaches. Considering this, British Petroleum has petitioned the court to reduce its damages settlement. But some say reports of the tourism rebound are inflated or deceptive. I read this here: Rise in gulf tourism prompts BP to ask for discount.
Chris Kendall calls some guy in upper management of the Gulf/New Orleans fishing industry about how the "disaster" affected fishing.
The guy basically says they were completely unscathed except for customers being scared off by bad media.
Pretty odd for 'one of the worst environmental disasters in human history" where oil was supposedly saturating every beach from Texas to Florida
Apparently with the Exxon Valdez disaster, the chemical 'clean up' on the US side decimated flora and fauna whereas in Canada they left nature to take its course and things returned to relative normality a lot faster than expected with catches of Salmon and Herring increasing so much that the cost actually dropped on the world market. It may be semantics but if anything shows we should not just listen to the official diatribe.
Seeing a bit of SEC football this weekend, I couldn't help but notice the sponsorship and propaganda partnerships of Gulf Coast governors and BP touting 'the cleanup'.
I confess to being one of the people initially suckered in. But, when I spoke to relatives who live near there or have friends with cottages at Gulf Shores, I couldn't reconcile what we were being shown with eyewitness accounts of real people.
Then came the realization of looped fake footage, only one airplane pilot claiming flyover videos, a splicing of the Mexican oil leak Ixtoc, etc. I started looking into "black smokers" which are naturally occuring asphalt vents in that region of the Gulf.
So the real worry was whether or not they were actually using this corexit unnecessarily. A nasty toxic chemical with no real market.
Now in retrospect, what was the purpose of this psy-op? Well, there was the increase in prices because, good grief, you were given a camera view and encouraged to cheer on BP struggle to save the planet. But also, it seems that the Fukushima event was a tie-in in my mind.
Both were set up to instill in the minds of people, the dangers in deep water drilling, and then the dangers of nuclear power, so that when the Libyan Invasion/Revolution to take over those oil fields (which I understand has some of the lightest, sweetest crude), began on the heels of it, there was an unprecedented lack of concern and interest on the part of Western citizenry, by and large.
It was and is sort of viewed as the same as "the Arab spring", and not some takeover of a sovereign nation.
It was just kind of weird how after telling the public just one year ago, hundreds of millions of barrels of oil and toxic chemicals were dumped there, that the beaches are pristine as ever, the seafood abundant and life is back to normal and now they just need to air these commercials to deprogram the public that it never really happened. And the government and BP partnership is stronger than ever. Thank you big oil! We appreciate those campaign contributions, too.
And they lived happily ever after.
The end.
