Former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn was released from house arrest on Friday as prosecutors investigated questions about the credibility of the woman he is charged with trying to rape.
...
Prosecutors found issues with the accuser's asylum application, her tax return and her statements to the grand jury investigating the assault case, court documents show.

Re: Dominique Strauss-Kahn
Awesome. All the charges were faked to begin with. Classic honey-pot setup. Nice perp-walk. Where does he go to get his reputation (such as it is) back?
Re: Dominique Strauss-Kahn
Many Frenchmen are like DSK, i.e. they always flirt with women and ask them to go to bed with them. It doesn’t cost a penny to try and it seems to work frequently. Why pay? Why use force? In this case DSK had stayed in the hotel 10-15 times earlier and I assume he had already chatted up and slept with the chamber maid before. But this time he told her that this was the last time! DSK was going to resign from the IMF and become president of France! And the girl became desperate, etc, etc, and made up the rape story. She wanted MONEY! It seems she had entered US on false premises 2003 and was in bad company. Drugs, etc. But the NYPD and their prosecutors believe any fairy tale told, e.g. that skyscrapers collapse from top down if you fly a plane into the top 911 and so on. They saw it on TV! Poor DSK! Billions of people saw DSK live on TV looking haggard (NYPD had taken away his lenses/glasses and refused him to shave and shower after a night in jail) and told the world that DSK was a rapist! Strange that DSK sperms allegedly were found all over the place by NYPD! I would assume DSK using a contraceptive (to avoid getting AIDS or similar). I have a feeling NYPD is part of the drama.

Re: Dominique Strauss-Kahn
I must say: all as predicted. As anticipated, it didn't really matter if DSK was really going to do jail time for this. The important thing was to carry his shaming long enough to remove him from the FMI. He is out of the game now and for all intents and purposes this will suffice. It is retiring time now for him, as he has become probably the higher blackmailable banker in the world...
Re: Dominique Strauss-Kahn
A nice synopsis of why no one wanted to hear that he was framed.
"Was it a Political Conspiracy? Prosecutors Back Off From Their ‘Iron-Clad’ Case Against Strauss-Kahn
When police and prosecutors convict a suspect in the media before he is even charged, it typically means that there is no evidence against him and that demonization is serving as the substitute. Conviction is what is important to the system, not a determination of innocence or guilt.
On numerous Internet sites, I pointed out the problems with the case against DSK. For informing people of the obvious, I was denounced by the right-wing and the left-wing.
The right-wing gave me the finger for doubting the word and integrity of police and prosecutor. Didn’t I know that these are the honorable guardians who protect the public from crime? How dare I question anything the police and prosecutor did or do. What was I, some kind of pinko-liberal-commie?
The left-wing also gave me the finger and said that I had revealed my real self as nothing but an apologist for the rich and powerful and for men who seduce women. How much was I paid for my service to the rich and powerful and seducers of innocent women?
The feminist left denounced me as a misogynist. Only a woman-hater could take the side of a rapist against his victim.
It is all so tiresome to endure the stupidity of people. Little wonder they are losing their liberty, their jobs and incomes, and their country and self-respect."

I noticed on the postimage page of the picture there is a link that says "show codes". If you click there it gives you a series of links to use.simonshack wrote:What's the deal with your "s3.postimage.org" photo account? NONE of your linked images show up???

maybe they want you to always link back to them, otherwise they cut the link off. Or maybe postimage images are supposed to expire like that.
in both cases, I would change service reel.deal... I suggest imageshack...
this one called "hotlink for forums" seem to work:

Re: Dominique Strauss-Kahn
It seems the innocent (sic) chamber maid was working hard in another biz, i.e. the oldest one of them all, French media explains today. And DSK refused to pay for services rendered. He thought it was all for fun. Tough luck. Interesting though how long NYPD and US media played along with the prostitute. OK, they are colleauges and in same biz! It explains all.reel.deal wrote: postimage seems to have gone all hardcore porn crazy-style,

Re: Dominique Strauss-Kahn
I don't think anything of what they say is true.
I think they went to jail and had a little chat with him.
"You position at FMI is finally taken by someone we trust. This is enough for us. If you walk out of here and quietly retire, we let you go. If you put up a fight, then all the accusations stand and you go to jail for rape. Your choice."

Re: Dominique Strauss-Kahn
So the NY prosecutor decided not to pursue the DSK affaire due lack of confidence in the accuser and evidence of rape provided. Yes, there was DSK sperm on carpet in the suite according prosecutor BUT police found sperm from three other persons on carpet that they could not identify using DNA. It seems Sofitel doesn't clean their carpets regularly. And strange that NYPD could not identify the DNA after 911 when almost 3000 persons were identified using DNA.
Re Sofitel room service/cleaning there are ??? Accuser suggested three versions (cleaning at 8 am, 11.45 am and not at all). The alleged violent rape was supposed to have taken place at 11.46-11.55 am (9 minutes) on bed and in bath room with DSK failing penetration except via mouth of accuser. Strange story. Accuser admitted having sex with unknown man the night before but could not explain $10 000's on her bank account, relationships with drug dealers and why she had lied about another rape of her in homeland to enter USA.
I wonder about Sofitel room cleaning practice. Normally rooms are cleaned when empty after guest has checked out or, when room is booked several days, after guest has left room and hang up sign Pls clean up room on door. That cleaning staff sneaks into room as alleged seems strange. Or DSK was simply set up by US authorities (in the usual manner ). Foreign tourists in USA thus have to be cautious. Anything can happen in the Wild West.
Note that US does not say DSK is innocent. In US you are of course guilty already being arrested and the only unknown is if you are sentenced to 500 years in prison or death. Or let go due to incompetence of police/prosecutor in rare cases.
