Thanks, Cluedin for the info. Baxter's ability as a guitarist is undeniable. I recently saw a Craigslist ad for a guitar signed by Jeff Baxter which prompted me to do a search on what he might be up to lately.

The DoD video was the first link in the search. Near the top was another featuring Baxter and Mark Knopfler together, FWIW.

Once I accepted that my musical heroes and influences were not predisposed to being anarchists, the next logical step was the accept the sky being the limit for how much they may involve themselves in support of the state.

I was still surprised, nonetheless.

Goodness, that "Revolution in Intelligence" video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GRkCyvIz70) is a jumbo pack of skunky fabrications and disinfo. Quite entertaining, actually.

Oh, by the way, did you know that fellow agent Dan Aykroyd´s daughter´s godfather died in the Towers? (@ 39:28)

In Asia the idea that their own government lies, or that the people of the government use their positional power and most of the tax revenues to enrich themselves - these ideas would not be shocking or upsetting to people in Asia.

For people in the West there is a religious level belief in government. Probably when people like the upper middle classes lost their faith in God this was emotionally traumatizing, so instead of going all the way in the pain, they transferred that human need to worship onto government. An example is how Western people are so passionate about elections, because first off they believe the process is honest and they really have control, and secondly because they believe that with the right politicians government can take us closer to utopia.

Thanks for the clarification. It is an interesting prospect to meditate on, but the problem is that 'Western man' and 'Eastern man' are sweeping generalizations, especially the latter. The description of blind faith in government and the quest for an earthly utopia seem to fit post-Protestant Anglo-Saxon nations, but not nations of 'Latin' language and culture. And how shall we define "peoples in Asia"? Would the Ottomans qualify? The Iranians under the Ayatollahs? The Sikhs? The modern-day Chinese? The Australian aboriginals? The Talibans? People in Feudal Japan? The Armenians?

Yes that was a somewhat entertaining video by an obviously talented liar.

There is a lot of stuff in that hour, but I just want to note something he said at the 17:50 mark that really speaks volumes in my opinion.

He says essentially that people in the "intelligence community" are willing to die for their country, but NOT willing to lose their job for it.

Let that one sink in. It's a Gem right in the middle of a pile of garbage.

Glad you posted a link to it.

The origin of the band name "Steely Dan":

Steely Dan was born – but they still needed a name. As big fans of Beat Generation literature Becker and Fagen looked to the controversial novel Naked Lunch from William S. Burroughs for inspiration. They decided on the name Steely Dan as it was a name used in the book – given to a strap-on. A giant, steam-powered strap-on to be exact – nick named “Steely Dan III from Yokohama.”

Before I use up my allowance of Chesterton quotes, I had to post this witty and insightful description of the “scientific method” ... not! Although the ancient Greeks must have used it (like every other thinkable device of rhetoric), in this “age of wireless telegraphy” and “public understanding of science” it is commoner than ever ... and it works like a charm.

There are three ways in which a statement, especially a disputable statement, can be placed before mankind. The first is to assert it by avowed authority; this is done by deities, the priests of deities, oracles, minor poets, parents and guardians, and men who have “a message to their age”. The second way is to prove it by reason; this was done by the mediaeval schoolmen, and by some of the early and comparatively forgotten men of science. It is now quite abandoned. The third method is this: when you have neither the courage to assert a thing nor the capacity to prove it, you allude to it in a light and airy style, as if somebody else had asserted and proved it already. Thus the first method is to say, “Pigs do fly in heaven; I have had a vision of heaven, and you have not”. The second method is to say, “Come down to my little place in Essex, and I will show you pigs flying about like finches and building nests in the elms”. Both of these positions require a certain valour to sustain them, and are now, therefore, generally dropped. The third method, which is usually adopted, is to say, “Professor Gubbins belongs to the old school of scientific criticism, and cannot but strike us as limited in this age of wireless telegraphy and aerial swine”; or “Doubtless we should be as much surprised at the deeds of our descendants as would an ancient Briton at a motor-car or a flying pig, or any such common sight in our streets”. In short, this third method consists in referring to the very thing that is in dispute as if it were now beyond dispute.

Google's 'Holocaust denial' algorithm tweak

I hope this is a suitable topic for discussion/perusal, should anyone be interested. If not, moderators are free to delete this post.

Firstly, I personally think that Google have shot themselves in the foot with this non-sense.

Since this 'tweak' has been made public, there may well be many more people looking into the notion of the alleged 'Holocaust', which, spelled with a capital letter, creates a specific object (i.e. Proper Noun). The word 'holocaust' is indeed a noun but has a specific meaning, viz.

https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/holocaust

Definition of holocaust in English:
holocaust
noun

1 Destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, especially caused by fire or nuclear war:
‘a nuclear holocaust’

1.1 the Holocaust The mass murder of Jews under the German Nazi* regime during the period 1941–5. More than 6 million European Jews, as well as members of other persecuted groups, were murdered at concentration camps such as Auschwitz.

2 historical A Jewish sacrificial offering which was burnt completely on an altar.

Origin

Middle English: from Old French holocaust, via late Latin from Greek holokauston, from holos whole + kaustos burnt (from kaiein burn).

************************************************************************************************

* My asterisk. Please note the continued use of the fear word ‘Nazi’ to refer to a National Socialist ‘regime’. It stirs the propaganda…

However, in terms of the English language, one may have a holocaust. To construct from this The Holocaust is another matter entirely.

What one would hope, of course is that a few more addicts of Main Sewer News will attempt to get themselves off their television-induced traumas and start looking at what Google (and others, I am sure) will censor next:

‘Google tweaks algorithm for Nuclear Bomb denial’
‘Google tweaks algorithm for Rockets-don't-work-in-space denial’
‘Google tweaks algorithm for Victims denial’
‘Google tweaks algorithm for any clues (Cluesforum)’

...the list in endless...

*********************************************************************************************

Here is a video (believe what you will) of 1 million children:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE8ojvJJ8ew

Imagine getting that lot onto (U.K.) Virgin trains (Jungfernzügen) or any other train for a day out to any sort of camp for whatever purpose!

Cheers!

Two topics I want to bring up.

1. I am very sorry to interrupt the good dialogues happening everywhere here, but we have recently hit a little but of a financial issue.

We are hosting SeptemberClues.info as referenced here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1828

Simon's asking me to help with the cost of our trusted host Acorn ($25/month) due to his financial straits and I happen to be in my own right now, carefully balancing my budget. I think it is Simon's and my own responsibility to manage this ourselves since we undertook to put it on the Internet, especially since the world does not seem extremely receptive to what we're presenting. And it would not be wise for me to try to "afford" a whole year at this time (i.e.; $299.40).

So, I can donate about $75 which will get SeptemberClues.info through to May. And that should be fine, if we pay a few months at a time like that. However, it would be nice if we could solicit from the membership for extra. Every $25 buys another month of SeptemberClues.info.

Please bear in mind that it is a site that handles a great deal of traffic, is controversial, and this is a fine host that we've found to host it. It is not CluesForum.info, which is this site.

SeptemberClues.info is a deliberately static presentation of our research. Which, by the way, it would be useful to still send links to when you are wondering how to spread a "summary" of the research.

---

2. K and I are looking for members of this site willing to sit in with us on an issue of the Clues Chronicle. For the time being, we are looking for ways of inviting people who have been around for some time and not new folks that showed up or lurkers. Please excuse the slightly non-egalitarian seniority system we may employ.

I would love it if we could get on air either Maat or Critical Mass, (or even a brianv or nonhocapito, though I doubt their interest level is very high) — basically an admin.

Our "turn over" seems to be high, despite the fact that we try not to boot out good contributors. People like idschmyd, godzilla, proloft and other members that presented a lot of interesting reading or showed a lot of genuine support simply excused themselves after getting what they wanted from contributing. Nevertheless, if you are out there, please do consider messaging us and letting us know you'd want to try to sit in on our audio summary of the research:

I made a small donation of $9.11 euros (paypal takes a cut of donations now apparently). Hopefully this inspires a few people to donate lunch money now and then to keep the site going.

Hoi, come by my http://fakeologist.com/audiochat sometime and let's catch up.

My dearest Hoi,

Twist the (proverbial) "knife", why don't you. :P JK!

I tried (in my own small way) to add to the peerless (IMO) body of knowledge that exists on CluesForum.

I am (and forever will be) grateful for the countless contributions of (mostly :P ) all CF members!

I (sincerely!) thank you (Hoi and Simon in partivcular) all, my good Sirs & Ladies!

There's nothing wrong with leaving after even a single good post, as far as I'm concerned. You gave us a wealth!

By the way, ICfreely, would you be interested in doing the next Clues Chronicle with K and me? :)

Dearest Hoi,

I'm planning to make a donation within this month (February) as I will probably stop paying my electricity bills instead  . Sushi land, you ain't having any nuclear power plants but I can ascertain that your TEPCO electricity bills keep inflating year by year ! The critical mass (ass?) might very well be reached soon, haha. あぶない!

I will be more than delighted to join the Clues Chronicles,I haven't missed a single episode so far, therefore I'm more than willing to bring my little and modest contribution to this great reality check audio show.
You can contact me here in PM or at my usual external email address dear Hoi.

Let me know about the next show and we can possibly figure something out together from there.
