Thanks hoi. In order for me to make sense of this whole mess I decided to unlearn everything I was taught & question everything I thought I knew. It’s quite simple really. All governments are based on authority (religious/scientific). We are currently in a transition period from religious to scientific. Christianity is ridiculed, Islam is vilified and Judaism (Largely due to the actions of Israel) is despised. The Abrahamic religions have simply outlived their usefulness to the nutwork so they are actively instigating a clash of civilizations. Simultaneously Popular Science is gaining ground (Largely based on hoaxes) as the savior of humanity. I would argue that it’s the largest organized religion in the world (Scientism/Scientocracy). I think it’s crucial to anyone trying to make sense of the nuke hoax to see the big picture so to speak. The nuke, satellite, Apollo, UFO, climate change and a plethora of other hoaxes are all interrelated and always seem to trace back to the Royal Society of London (Headquarter of Scientocracy). Here’s a primer (From many different angles) for anyone interested in this matter:

I ask the neutral observer to listen to everyone, question everything & draw their own conclusions (There’s truth to be gleaned from every source). Contrary to popular belief, technology has & will always advance despite any given paradigm. People are innately curious, creative & inventive. Scientism, in my opinion, is and has been stifling innovation.

I Came across an excerpt from Ken Hollings’ book, “Weird suburbia: How atomic bombs and UFO’s created modern America” which I think makes for a very interesting read. Below are a few quotes followed by some relevant information. I highly suggest reading the entire excerpt though.

Weird suburbia: How atomic bombs and UFOs created modern America

After World War II, nuclear anxiety and flying saucer fantasies altered our understanding of suburban life

KEN HOLLINGS

Excerpted from "Welcome to Mars: Politics, Pop Culture, and Weird Science in 1950s America"

“Levittown— You can imagine how it will look from space: the houses and roads and backyards arranged in neatly ordered rows, a framework of streetlights and driveways in a perfectly arranged grid at night. Located on what was once an expanse of potato fields, midway between New York City and the munitions plants of Long Island, the first Levittown, formerly known as “Island Trees,” is opened to the public in February 1947. A planned community of six thousand households offering affordable housing in the form of small, detached single-family units, this new conurbation quickly expands to embrace a further eleven thousand homes, each situated sixty feet apart on their own patch of ground. Constructed from prefabricated sections and components, Suburbia has at last begun to extend its grand conformity into space.”
An accomplished publicist, William J. Levitt trades in myth as much as in real estate.
“Levittown’s original inspiration is the planned community created in secret at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to house the technicians and scientists of the “Manhattan Project” busily engaged in developing the first atomic weapon. From the start Levittown constitutes a strategic response to modern warfare. The Atomic Bomb has done its job too well. A future conflict in which whole cities might be obliterated does more than demoralize the enemy: it demoralizes everyone.
“William Levitt’s new suburban grid and the existing global one are becoming superimposed. What the Marshall Plan and the Truman Doctrine both have at their core is the concept that there is just one world, a single sphere of influence. The same month Levittown opens its gates to the public, the Voice of America starts broadcasting to the Soviet Union for the very first time.”
“An ever-expanding, subdivided tract of land, the suburbs constitute the location for a project that will connect humanity directly with outer space, with the future, and with its own emergent inner self. The possibilities are limitless. Levittown homes come with a television set already installed. What was formerly designated the “living room” is now a domestic environment, irradiated by the blue-gray glow of the cathode ray tube.”
“High-fidelity stereophonic sound systems will extend the boundaries of this new sensory laboratory even further. In 1947 Capitol Records releases “Music Out of the Moon,” a suite of compositions on a set of 78 rpm platters with characteristically mellifluous arrangements by Les Baxter.”
“More specifically, it articulates the concept of encountering space-age technology in a space-age home. In its self-contained isolation, the suburban colony becomes a model for life not just on this planet but on all the others too. At the same time, this self-contained isolation will eventually establish the suburbs as a complex psychiatric community where aberrations such as alcoholism, schizophrenia, and sexual deviancy can be studied in clinical depth by an increasing number of sociologists, psychiatrists, and cultural anthropologists. It will also supply the pharmaceutical companies with a growing number of customers for a new generation of drugs. In other words, Suburbia will not only radically transform methods of perception but models of behavior as well.
“If the skies above Levittown seem particularly dark in 1947, it’s because the Nuclear Clock has been set running for the first time on the front cover of The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists. Intended to show the close proximity of humanity to total annihilation, the clock’s minute hand is periodically shown edging its way toward ultimate midnight. Featureless and brand new, standing where there had once been only fields and wasteland, the suburbs seem not so much isolated in space but in time as well.”

From Outer Space to the Military-Industrial Complex
“The Atomic energy Commission assumes active civilian control of America’s nuclear program from the very first day of 1947; and Project RAND, an Air Force think tank of scientists and mathematicians, starts its slow move toward incorporation as a nonprofit business venture based in Santa Monica, California. established at the end of 1945, Project RAND became an independent division of the Douglas Aircraft Company in March 1946. Retaining its original Air Force name, a streamlined modernist shortening of “Research and Development,” RAND is the first organization to bring those two concepts together formally. Its first official publication, commissioned by Major General Curtis e. LeMay, on the feasibility of earth-orbiting satellites, was published in May 1946. As Deputy Chief of the Air Staff for Research and Development, LeMay sees United States airpower extending beyond the sky into outer space, ultimately reaching into the future itself, thereby fundamentally altering the way in which the earth itself is viewed, and at what remove, in the decade to come.”
“Speculating on the potential design, performance, and possible use of a manmade satellite, Preliminary Design of an Experimental World-Circling Spaceship is only the first of many RAND reports exploring the possibilities of man in space. Its cover art shows a missile, the world, and a mathematical grid in an abstract freestanding relationship with one another.”
“One person to look more deeply into the grid than the rest is James Lipp, head of Project RAND’s Missile Division. “Since mastery of the elements is a reliable index of material progress,” he declares early in 1947, “the nation which first makes significant achievements in space travel will be acknowledged as the world leader in both military and scientific techniques. To visualize the impact on the world, one can imagine the consternation and admiration that would be felt here if the United States were to discover suddenly that some other nation had already put up a successful satellite.””
“Primarily concerned with defense strategy, bombing patterns, and long-range military planning, the experts at RAND are less interested in hardware than in behavior: how systems develop and take on a creative life of their own. To this end, Project RAND holds a symposium in New York in 1947 as a first step toward enlisting economists and social scientists in its work on national defense.”
“Responsible for organizing this event, having also coauthored parts of RAND’s Preliminary Design of an Experimental World-Circling Spaceship, is the writer and political analyst Leo Rosten. The man who persuaded Walt Disney to make animated propaganda films for the Pentagon during World War II, Rosten is asked by John Williams, head of RAND’s Mathematics Division, to invite key figures from the social sciences to attend. This Rosten proceeds to do while working at night on the screenplay for The Velvet Touch, a murder mystery for RKO Radio Pictures starring Rosalind Russell.”
“When finished, the movie will tell the story of a Broadway actress who murders her producer and then, conscience-stricken, helps the investigating detective to uncover the clues that will solve the case. Its cat-and-mouse plot owes more than a little to the mathematically precise methods of determining rational strategies in the face of uncertainty developed by John von Neumann, consultant to the Theoretical Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Known informally as “game theory,” its principles have been outlined in Theory of Games and Economic Behavior, written by von Neumann in collaboration with Princeton economist Oskar Morgenstern and first published in 1944. A seminal work that will influence the thinking of corporate executives and military planners for decades to come, it suggests how game theory might be applied to both economic theory and the social sciences. Among the book’s more enthusiastic readers is RAND’s John Williams, who persuades von Neumann to join Project RAND as a part-time consultant in December 1947.”
“The adoption of game theory at this time indicates a moment of transition: one in which the physicists and mathematical logicians at RAND are no longer obliged simply to predict the random motion of subatomic particles but to contemplate how their effects might influence human outcomes. Arthur Raymond, chief engineer at Douglas Aircraft, further articulates this shifting relationship in 1947 when he defines RAND’s main preoccupations as “systems and ways of doing things, rather than particular devices, particular instrumentalities, particular weapons, and we are concerned not merely with the physical aspects of these systems but with the human behavior side as well.””
“The analysts RAND subsequently brings into these new departments represent a cross-section of the very sociologists, psychologists, and anthropologists who will descend upon the suburbs, testing and probing its inhabitants. Top wartime psychiatrist Brigadier General William Menninger makes this clear in his keynote address as newly elected president of the American Psychiatric Association at their 1947 conference, held at the Pennsylvania Hotel in New York that year. Although there are still fewer than five thousand practicing psychiatrists in the United States, Menninger takes great pains to spell out to his colleagues the vital importance of bringing the potential benefits of psychiatry to the masses and of his ambition to “offer its therapeutic effort to a world full of unhappiness and maladjustment.””
““
They flew like a saucer would if you skipped it across water,” Kenneth Arnold tells Bill Bequette of the East Oregonian, referring to the nine unidentified flying objects he has seen speeding through the skies toward Mount Rainier on the afternoon of June 24, 1947. According to Arnold’s written report submitted to the US military, they moved “in a definite formation but erratically” in a “diagonal-like chain, as if they were linked together.” It is the image of the “flying saucer” that sticks in the popular imagination, however; its flashing and darting establishes an erratic but discernible visual rhythm that will continue to reverberate for years to come. A few weeks later, when the July 8 edition of the Roswell Daily Record appears in New Mexico with the headline “Army Air Force Captures Flying Disc in Roswell Region” spread across five columns of its front page, the transformation of motion into archetypal form is complete.”
“Although both stories have originated from local newspapers, they are quickly picked up all over the world, following the global grid now being comfortably imposed upon the earth’s surface. Never has a message been so clear, or its implications so ambiguous. “They’re more than atom bombs or falling stars,” runs the stark warning in “When You See Those Flying Saucers,” a hillbilly ballad written in 1947 by Charles Grean and Cy Coben. Released as a 78 rpm disc on the RCA Victor label, the song links religion and atomic devastation with the “trouble and unrest brewing” on the far side of the Iron Curtain. If it came out of the sky, the assumption goes, it can only be a judgment from on high. The other assumption, exemplified by the lack of a conditional preposition in the song’s title, is that it’s only a matter of time: of “when,” rather than “if.””
“Both Arnold’s Mount Rainier sighting and the crashed saucer in Roswell will go on to assume mythic status, subject to endless lines of speculation, research, and argument. It is worth reflecting at this point, however, upon just how close both these incidents are to the ragged edge of aviation technology as it exists at this time. According to his own account, Arnold was piloting his “specially designed mountain airplane” in search of a crashed C-46 Marine transport. The flying disc reported to have come down in the New Mexico desert is investigated by officers from Roswell Air Force Base, home to the US nuclear bomber wing. Less than two years previously the Enola Gay took off from Roswell AFB into the blinding light of summer on its way to Hiroshima.”
“The Atomic energy Commission and Project RAND are soon studying the flying saucers, AeC chairman David Lilienthal going so far as to make a public statement discounting any direct relationship between such sightings and the effects of atomic radiation. However, the main connection between the saucers and the emergent military-industrial complex will inevitably be supplied by the United States Air Force: an organization that has had to wait until now for an Act of Congress to bring it into being. The 1947 National Security Act does as much to recalibrate the American war machine as von Neumann and Morgenstern’s Theory of Games and Economic Behavior. It establishes the Department of Defense, creates the National Security Council, and separates off the United States Air Force as an independent entity from the rest of the Armed Forces. More importantly, it replaces the old wartime Office of Strategic Services with a brand new organization: the Central Intelligence Agency.”
“Great organizations create themselves out of confusion, and the United States Air Force is no exception. Glimpses of the future start to flash up at random. Over one weekend in the summer of 1947, a bunch of bikers go on a drunken rampage through the little town of Hollister, California, establishing the renegade motorcycle gang as another modern myth. Most of these mechanized outlaws are ex-servicemen, many of them former Army Air Force, bored with peacetime and looking for excitement.”
“Although the Maury Island incident is soon dismissed as a tragic hoax, it indirectly helps the USAF and the flying saucers to extend and define their presence through each other. Just as LeMay predicted, issues of air supremacy and the threat of outer space have helped to position the USAF ahead of all the other organizations, especially in a year when the prototype Bell 47 helicopter gets wheeled out of the hangar and the jet plane is offering unprecedented levels of speed and maneuverability.”
“But where exactly does it come from? Initial speculation is that it may be the Soviets at work. Or it could be some secret project whose existence is hidden somewhere in the small print of the National Security Act.”
At the end of 1947, the US Air Force sets up Project SIGN to investigate public sightings of strange things in the sky. As the name suggests, SIGN is an indication of that which has hitherto gone unnoticed: a signifier for what has so far passed without comment. By determining the significance of what may or may not exist in the skies over America, the Air Force impresses itself with greater clarity upon the popular imagination.”
“The Maury Island saucer inadvertently marked itself out as a fraud by leaving that blackened trail of slag and scrap metal behind. While such a display may not be out of place among the ore-smelting operations of Tacoma Bay, slowly poisoning the islands in Puget Sound with toxic deposits of arsenic and lead, this saucer’s sheer physicality denies it a presence in the future. It is only by removing all trace of its existence from the scene that the Air Force belatedly confers significance upon the incident.”
“The flying saucer becomes associated with forms of technology so superior that they can no longer be adequately detected by the human senses. As such, it is the elusive representative of an emergent invisible order of energy: of rays and beams, wireless transmissions and radiation bursts.”
“As the pragmatic era of edison appears to give way to a visionary Age of Tesla, the flying saucer also marks the deep gulf that has opened up between the actual accomplishments of technological progress and those who feel the future really can’t get here fast enough. Suddenly the Raytheon microwave oven may not seem so humble anymore.”

A few fun facts:

John von Neumann - “After the war, J. Robert Oppenheimer remarked that the physicists involved in the Manhattan project had "known sin". Von Neumann's response was that "sometimes someone confesses a sin in order to take credit for it."” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_von_N ... ar_weapons

Dr. Samuel Hoffman - “The foot doctor whose nervous theremin style defined the sound of ghosts, goblins, and space invaders…” http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0388867/bio

Kenneth Arnold - “On June 24, 1977, however, he attended the First International UFO Congress in Chicago, curated by Fate to mark the 30th anniversary of the "birth" of the modern UFO age.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_Ar ... O_sighting

Hollister ‘Riot’

The incident, known afterwards as the Hollister riot, was sensationalized by the press with reports of bikers "taking over the town" and "pandemonium" in Hollister.[4] The strongest dramatization of the event was a staged photo of a drunken man sitting on a motorcycle surrounded by beer bottles. It was published in Life magazine and it brought national attention and negative opinion to the event. The Hollister riot helped to give rise to the outlaw biker image.”

The UFO psy-ops:

1) The 1942 “Battle of Los Angeles” psy-op was most likely a test run for 1947 & beyond.
2) By publishing the supposed UFO crash & quickly ‘covering it up’ the perps triggered endless conspiracy theories which was their intent. Everyone wanted to know what the government was supposedly hiding. NASA employs this tactic every so often (i.e. the pyramid/face on Mars, ‘alien’ bases on the Moon images, etc…).
3) Soviet Union Attack – the theory that it was a preemptive Soviet attack fed into the Cold War Hoax which began the same year.
4) Malevolent/benevolent Aliens – the theory that aliens had come to either save us from ourselves or kill us off in order to save the environment gave legitimacy to the existence of nukes.
5) Space Race – the theory that the U.S. had reverse engineered the ‘advanced technology’ of the ‘flying saucer’ served a predictive programming purpose which gave legitimacy to the satellite & Apollo hoaxes.
6) Evolution – the theory that ancient aliens were the supposed ‘missing link’ or ‘original seeders.’

Lookout Mountain Lab:

1) The studio responsible for the nuke test hoax images was officially operational from 1947 (Beginning of the Cold War hoax) to 1969 (The Apollo 11 hoax).
2) The Lab was at the geographical center of the Laurel Canyon ‘counter-culture’ artist community. If you’re familiar with Dave McGowan’s “Inside the LC” series then you’ll know that most of them were children of military intelligence personnel (i.e. Jim ‘Mr. anti-establishment’ Morrison was the son of Admiral George Stephen Morrison – highest ranking Naval officer at the ‘Gulf of Tonkin’ hoax which escalated the Vietnam War.
3) Laurel Canyon Boulevard was the main route connecting Hollywood to the San Fernando Valley (L.A.’s largest suburb & Porn Capitol of the World).
4) Jared Leto is the current owner of the Lab. “According to publicly accessible property records, the compound in question last traded hands in 1994, when it sold for $750,000 to artist Mark Lipscomb and attorney and former judge John Ladner, who is well known in the sorts of circles who know these things for his work with philanthropic oil heiress Aileen Getty.” (http://variety.com/2015/dirt/real-estal ... 201402725/). Psychiatry:

Psychiatry, without doubt, is a pseudoscience!

“Traditional organized religions are all about defining states of mind and trying to impose them. The modern version of this is psychiatry. The more distance you achieve from psychiatry, the more obvious it becomes that this is merely another system of map-making, the objective of which is control.” – Jon Rappoport

“In truth, the “chemical imbalance” notion was always a kind of urban legend- - never a theory seriously propounded by well-informed psychiatrists.” - Ronald W. Pies, M.D., editor-in-chief emeritus of the Psychiatric Times http://www.psychiatrictimes.com/blogs/ ... imbalance
If you question authority AND you think psychiatry is a legitimate applied science then I regret to inform you that you may be suffering from Oppositional Defiance Disorder (http://www.offthegridnews.com/2010/10/0 ... l-illness/). I suggest you proceed immediately to your nearest health-scare facility and ask your doctor if the latest scientific sounding chemical lobotomizer is right for you.

I’d like to bring to the attention of Clues Forum’s resident CGI, video & photo-fakery analysts a relatively unknown, yet key, character involved in the nuke hoax – Daniel Frost Comstock.

According to wiki:

At the University of Cambridge (1906–1907) he studied under J. J. Thomson. Beginning in 1904 he was a member of the faculty at MIT in theoretical physics (assistant professor 1910–1915; associate professor 1915–1917).
Comstock is most well known as the co-founder of the company Kalmus, Comstock & Westcott, and of Technicolor Motion Picture Corporation, which developed the second major color film process, after Britain's Kinemacolor, and the most widely used color motion picture process in Hollywood from 1922 to 1952.
Comstock also published some theoretical papers in the fields of electrodynamics (1908), special relativity (1910a), and emission theory (1910b).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Frost_Comstock

According to widescreen museum:

“More than fifty patents have been taken out in the Technicolor patent network. Most of the first basic ones were issued to Dr. Comstock.”

“For twenty years managing and promoting head of Technicolor. Except on the scientific side, Technicolor is a one man show. Dr. [Herbert Thomas] Kalmus is the man.”

http://www.widescreenmuseum.com/oldcolo ... page04.htm

“Kalmus developed an interest in creating a viable natural color motion picture process after taking on a commission to produce a "flicker-free" movie system, and Technicolor Corporation was founded in 1915. The "Tech" in Technicolor was derived from their association with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. And the name had a nice ring to it.”
http://www.widescreenmuseum.com/oldcolo ... color1.htm

Greg Mitchell, author of “Atomic Cover-Up”, states:

“[Daniel A.] McGovern was ordered by General Douglas MacArthur on January 1, 1946 to document the results of the U.S. air campaign in more than 20 Japanese cities. His crew would shoot exclusively in color film, Kodachrome and Technicolor, rarely used at the time even in Hollywood.”

http://gregmitchellwriter.blogspot.com/ ... ts-of.html

I recommend you read Mr. Mitchell’s entire article for comedic relief. It has a wikileak-ish vibe to it. For a man who purports to expose atomic secrets it’s odd that he never mentions Lookout Mountain Air Force Base. I suspect that Comstock played a significant role at Lookout. He was a disciple of J.J. Thomson (The most prominent pioneer of nuclear physic), colleague of Einstein, friend of Houdini, and co-founder of Technicolor. Speaking of Technicolor:

“Licorne” gets the “tres chic” award. When the French do it they do it with style!

“Operation Greenhouse” gets the “WTF?” award. Is that Mushroom taking a piss?

Technicolor is still working tirelessly to keep the atomic theme fresh in peoples’ minds. And just like drug dealers they know that you’ve got to hook ‘em young:

Technicolor’s ‘Atomic Puppet’ to Air on Disney XD

“In Atomic Puppet, Model City’s fearless superhero Captain Atomic is transformed into a lively, but powerless puppet by his sidekick Nuclear Boy (“Nukey”). The only way Captain Atomic can save Model City from Nukey and a host of other villains targeting the city is by teaming up with his biggest fan, 12-year-old Joey Felt, who literally holds the power in his hand to reactivate Captain Atomic’s superpowers.”

Test shot 'Able' of 'Operation Tumbler Snapper' (1/4/52).

Image

You 'set the scene', release 'millions of degrees' of heat in an enormous 'flash', watch the nuclear fireball of 'super hot gases' cool & form thick clouds of black, sooty smoke.

Has anybody who believes in these things actually bothered to come up with a 'reasonable sounding' 'explanation' for why nuclear fireballs turn black?

Kind of like what happens with perfectly normal hydrocarbon explosions?

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IACglchX9n0

An important point to consider when one realizes a lot of these test scenes show unmistakeable signs of layering common to the effects limitations of the times.

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3im9kso5Dw

So when we observe 1951's The Day the Earth Stood Still we may notice the numerous cuts, 'blue-screening' & impossible physics (most obviously 'the new source of light' from the 'robots vaporizing laser' failing to affect any shadows).

Image

All common features of the original 'Nuclear test' movies.

I suppose if the Military rustled up enough 'experts' they could get the world to believe in 'giant alien space robot invasions' too.

Canadian Nagasaki 'eyewitness' Jack/John Ford describing his experience in 1985...

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQX8glPOUSw

... shame that the official story has Nagasaki being cloudy that day* and that normally one would expect to feel the heat before the blast not afterwards!

He doesn't mention any flash of light or tremendous sound either... or eyeballs for that matter.

Pretty disappointing really... I give him a D there.

Recounting his experiences at 19:06 in this 2002 Canadian documentary he again pulls the "beautiful day, just like today, beautiful clear sky" line, he mentions 'a bang' (as well as fiberglass... in 1940's Japan?) but forgets the heat this time & again no flash.

I'll give him a C in that one as he's pretty good for the rest of the documentary.

* With the Bockscar allegedly preparing to drop its bomb using radar only until "At 11:01, a last-minute break in the clouds over Nagasaki allowed Bockscar's bombardier, Captain Kermit Beahan, to visually sight the target as ordered"

A few videos I found interesting...

An Ammunition ship exploding during WW2

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuM8Ey4z4HM

Not too dissimilar to the famous footage of Bravo during 'Operation Crossroads'?

A 1944 'conventional' Mushroom Cloud

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFsjeNAoUWM

Of course there's nothing unusual about getting mushroom clouds from TNT.

No matter what one thinks of this footage it is allegedly of Marcoo a 'small' (& easily fakeable with TNT?) 1.5KT 'nuclear weapon' detonated during the Maralinga tests.

Which is interesting when one considers that I've conclusively shown how difficult it is for 'experts' to judge the size of explosions

Similarly we have Kite another 'small' 3KT 'nuclear weapon' (this time supposedly air-burst from a height of 150M... whatever)

Again no matter what one thinks of such footage (& those wonderful cloud effects) it is perhaps interesting to note what one could supposedly do with a 'small nuke' & therefore, presumably, with a 'very big conventional charge'. It's also interesting to note that I can find no footage of the admitted large scale conventional tests like 'Minor Scale' or 'Misty Picture'... might be worth a FOIA request from any American Cluesforum members?

One other little tidbit... the 'mysterious' patch of the Manhattan project

Shigeko Sasamori, one of the 'Hiroshima Maidens', describing her experience...

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxVksebbRyw

The whole thing is a scenery chewing masterclass but 8:07 in particular stands out. There she tells us that she saw the "white thing coming out {of the plane}", didn't "hear any explosion", saw "no fire", or "flash of light"... she only felt the blast wave immediately hit her.

Even the interviewer clearly realized that this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever...
"Interviewer: Did you see the light? The strong light?"
SS: No, nothing... no light & no sound... just strong pressure"
Shigeko's explanation for why she saw no light (despite watching the bomb falling) is that "everyone's different"... I suspect those familiar with media fakery may have another, perhaps more plausible, explanation.

Either way... she get's a D from me.

As always the neutral researcher must give her their own grade.

The official explanation for the Manhattan project patch makes little sense. Lightning comes out of an oval cloud above and pierces a yellow sphere below? Maybe it´s a banal "exoteric" explanation for the uninitiated.
On the "esoteric" side, one is reminded of a brain (controlled by a star of David underlying the US military pentagram) from which an energized spinal cord projects towards the sacrum, disrupting/awakening a very powerful force the result of which is expected to be devastating. The weird "crack" looks like a formula or key or stylized writing.

I agree with Flabbergasted, above. Esoteric or exoteric or whatever — "question mark" is only a good explanation for someone who has never actually drawn a question mark. It's a brain. And it's ... it's aliiiive!

Well, she has certainly stretched the creative interpretation of what the "A-bombs" looked like in a new, fascinating "dimension". We've already explanations that the bomb was bright — either the tiniest of brief flashes or an ENORMOUS WALL OF WHITE HEAT moving toward us — or it was pitch DARK, like the epitome of a fantastic abyss swallowing everything into the gaping maw of death's own giant skull.

Now, we have a new range to explore — it was completely INVISIBLE...

The way this actress describes "pressure", one wonders if there isn't a double meaning and she isn't referring to the enormous journalistic pressures on Japanese not to talk about the event critically. Apparently, initially imposed by the British after the fire bombings (and "A-bomb tragedies") ended, we have still not received a report to this day that such censorship policies have ever been lifted.

I'd give her a "C" for artistic interpretation of the truth and an "F" for expression.

Well Hoi, if you liked the invisible atomic bomb explosion wait until you get a load of 'Dr.*' Cynthia Miller.

At 4:33 she tells us how, as a 5yr old girl, she 'survived' an IMAGINARY atomic bomb.

At 7:22 she tells us how she 'suffered' a 26 year long headache.

At 9:24 she tells us how she regularly fainted & used to suffer from 'radioactive projectile vomiting'.

She goes on to tell us how she survived imaginary radioactive fallout, a radioactive Father, a skeptical medical industry, her anti-radiation vaccination regime of "a hundred, incredibly painful, shots per week" & her radioactive skeleton.

She offers her listeners a choice between fear or gratitude.

Oh & she has X-ray vision (24:00).

I really have absolutely no idea on how to grade her.

* She has a, seemingly unique, Ph.D. in something called the "The Psychology of Change and Cellular Transformation"

I've been having a bit of fun with google translate recently & thanks to it (& the Sonic Bomb USSR archive) I've been finding some great Soviet nuke movies like this one...

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1A6ZwHfo70

It has become quite apparent to me that the Soviet movie makers had their own unique style when compared with their Lookout Mountain counterparts. Their quality control however appears to have been poorer.

So, for instance, you find the Soviets sometimes forgetting to hide* their 'jump cuts'...

Or revealing their blown over trees were pre-cut...

They seem to have been less enamored with the 'blinding flash' & therefore often fail to hide that the fireballs were of a conventional nature...

... particularly noticeable at 0:44 here...

The Soviets made the extraordinary claim of detonating a 57 Megaton Thermonuclear weapon in 1961... The Tsar Bomba.

Does this...

... really constitute sufficient 'extraordinary evidence' for such a claim?

* They also clearly struggled with the 'foreground shadows not being affected by the light' problem just like the Western movie makers.

More fun with google translate means that I've kind of 'identified' the 'jump cut' scene from my previous post above as an improved version of the scene at 14:04 in this fine Soviet test movie...

The movie is great fun... there's radioactive sheep & dogs, bent mushroom clouds, stupid random patches of burnt steppe, a mushroom cloud vs stem race, odd T-34 damage and at 30:46 they actually show us a model town (& later on boats)...

Image

... then blow the models to pieces with a load of TNT!

Although the Soviets seemed to have used the 'blinding flash' less than the Western movie makers sometimes they just went completely overboard...

Here is the 250kt 'Fission-boosted' Joe-23 detonated apparently on 6/11/55.

[ADMIN: Original video has been replaced as per March 28th, 2015 request here, after report of original video disappearing: http://cluesforum.info/viewtopic.php?p=2394916#p2394916 -hp]

We have flash #1...

Image

Flash #2 (which comes in from the left?)

Image

Flash #3 (which starts to rise)...

Image

Which then gives way to reveal our wonderful Mushroom cloud...

Image

All in all about 14 seconds worth of blinding flash-ing!

As I've mentioned on a number of occasions I prefer to watch the original footage presented to the people of the 40's, 50's & 60's rather than the 'improved' stuff more often shown to us today.

However some of the new crap is so poorly constructed I just have to bring it to the attention of Cluesforum hence I bring you this...

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqS7Mn7y_NU

... It's obviously Operation Dominic stuff & probably meant to be the 1MT 'Arkansas' test... though it doesn't really match the photos of the event.

Image

Anyway back to the video clip & I want to follow one cloud in particular...

Image

This things rips across the screen at a pretty irate speed for a cloud, it's then 'morphed' by the blast wave (?), before it reforms (!) & continues along its merry way.

By the way if the 20+ second nuclear fireglow didn't give it away then the subsequent & continuous 'condensation cloud morphing', 'incoming shockwave' (at 0:50) & 'eyewitnesses moving around in-front of camera' (at 0:59) confirm that this insane clip is meant to be depicting events in real time.

NOTE

Annoyingly enough 'Arkansas' appears to be missing from the three-part 'Dominic fireballs' series...

Just thought I'd post a few videos showcasing some of the low budget special effects available in the 40's...

The Locust attack scene from 1937's 'The Good Earth'

Simply amazing work from the 1948 movie 'Third Strike' (also known in the West as The Third Blow)

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1npG43ngGDA

The aerial flyover, miniature effects & composite soldiers at 20:49 just have to be seen to be believed.

The US occasionally used miniature effects during their newsreels of the time so at 1:15 into 'Armed Forces Screen Report, Issue 97, Reel 1' we find this...

The 1940 British movie 'The Thief of Baghdad' with its famous bluscreen layering can be seen in full here.

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXk51RvgHHQ

Anyway enough of the special effects lets watch some 'real' historical footage...
