MLK - The CIA and the Media

Postby hoi.polloi on November 24th, 2010, 7:21 pm

Martin Luther King was apparently killed during the slew of CIA/FBI/OSS/Mafia/MOSSAD what-have-you coups that took place around the world in the 60's.

Here is an intriguing video that explains how the media is embedded with the CIA and FBI together for a long time and exactly in the manner we are witnessing during the course of the 9/11 research:

While I am of course skeptical of all media and even the mouths of anyone saying the 'truth' because it's possibly for personal credit or to gain favor, this video rings true to me in some ways. Worth a full listen.

Amazing. Now we know how the CIA might have controlled Sirhan Sirhan, James Earl Ray, Lee H. Oswald, John Hinckley, and Mark David Chapman - all were likely Manchurian Candidates, even if some or all of them didn't do the shooting (or some or all of the victims didn't actually die).

MK Ultra, anyone?

CIA implanted electrodes in brains of unsuspecting soldiers

It's well known that the CIA began testing substances like LSD on soldiers beginning in the 1950s but less is known about allegations that the agency implanted electrodes in subjects.

A 2009 lawsuit (.pdf) claimed that the CIA intended to design and test septal electrodes that would enable them to control human behavior.
...
Bruce Price, one plaintiff in the lawsuit, believes that MRI scans confirm that the CIA placed a device in his brain in 1966.

At one point, Bruce was ordered to visit a building with a chain link fence that housed test animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs and monkeys. After reporting, Bruce was strapped across his chest, his wrists, and his ankles to a gurney. Bruce occasionally would regain consciousness for brief moments. On one such instance, he remembers being covered with a great deal of blood, and assumed it was his own, but did not really know the source.
...
DEFENDANTS placed some sort of an implant in Bruce’s right ethmoid sinus near the frontal lobe of his brain. The implant appears on CT scans as a “foreign body” of undetermined composition (perhaps plastic or some composite material) in Bruce’s right ethmoid, as confirmed in a radiology report dated June 30, 2004.

According to a 1979 book by former State Department intelligence officer John Marks, The CIA and the Search for the Manchurian Candidate, an internal 1961 memo by a top agency scientist reported that "the feasibility of remote control of activities in several species of animals has been demonstrated... Special investigations and evaluations will be conducted toward the application of selected elements of these techniques to man."
...
"There is no question that these experiments were done but defendants say that they used private researchers and test subjects drawn from prisons, hospitals and nursing homes as subjects, not active duty military [personnel]," Erspamer said. "CIA said it had no one knowledgeable on this topic."

Erspamer noted that papers filed in the case describe "electrical devices implanted in brain tissue with electrodes in various regions, including the hippocampus, the hypothalamus, the frontal lobe (via the septum), the cortex and various other places.

I don't take kindly to the MK ultra remarks. I feel insulted.

There is a perfectly good, practical expose of the CIA's relationship to the media and the prospect of patsies, and you bring unconventional "mind control" to the subject?

Come on! His speech was better and more grounded than that!

The story of the intelligence agencies' use of mind-control techniques was initially probed by several honest investigators (both inside and outside of government) back in the late 1970s. What was accurately revealed (in the only semi-controlled mass media of that bygone era) was so shocking and paradigm-altering that the damage-control spooks who were subsequently assigned to "clean up the mess" faced a huge challenge.

And for the most part, they met that challenge successfully by flooding both the popular media (and the pre-Internet, fringe media too) with a torrent of limited hangouts, wild distortions, impossible fantasies, and synthesized delusions -- so that anyone actually trying to assemble a potential "jigsaw-puzzle" image of the MK-Ultra truth was instead confronted with way more puzzle pieces (many of seemingly identical shape) than needed.

Consider the whole sordid, sub-literary genre of CIA/Satanic, sex-slave "memoirs" and "confessionals," for instance.

Having obsessively followed the real story from the time of the Senate's amazing (but limited-hangout) "Church Committee" hearings down to the present day, I can state with confidence that the bloody event the MSM are extensively commemorating today (the Lennon assassination) was indeed one of several high-profile uses of MK-Ultra assassin programming that the covert wizards decided was absolutely necessary to DEMONSTRATE THEIR CAPABILITIES to the various politicians and media celebs who would become the spooks' influence-targets in the future.

Now, if you think John Marks' flawed-but-valuable "The Search for the Manchurian Candidate" is the ultimate historical resource on this dreadful, ghastly business (with the clever way it portrays the spooks' brutal experiments as a vicious and costly failure) -- try searching instead for Walter Bowart's "Operation Mind Control," the well-suppressed masterpiece of 1970s parapolitical research that (doggedly and documentedly) picks up where Marks cautiously left off.

And flashing forward to 9/11, with its rogues' gallery of "witnesses" to impossible (and simulated) yet world-changing events, you may then be willing to consider the possibility that they aren't all just paid actors. Perhaps many of them really BELIEVE the crap they've been spewing (or sobbing about) for the past nine years.

Why?

Because their own sense of "reality" (like the ever-expanding cache of 9/11 videos and photos) has been conveniently FABRICATED. ;)

Thanks for the demystification. I think MK-ultra was only briefly brushed over by Naomi Klein and BBC's Adam Curtis because there was an element to the program that was extremely successful - and we (the public) are not supposed to be following that aspect of MK-ultra.

However, even without MK-ultra, if you look at the number of people who are hypnotized by little more than a moving image on a screen -- you have to wonder if and when MK-ultra is even needed to get people to swallow bullshit. That, to me, is the main thrust of this MLK speech.

But I see your point. We could safely start an MK-ultra topic if we wanted to.

For repentantandy

When I was an actor in 1962 we were trained "to really BELIEVE the crap they've been spewing" on stage and also offstage. I want to write a text later about the things we had to do to fool people in the street as an exercise, demanded by our director Wal Cherry.
