Hurricane Sandy

Unread post by lux »

I came upon this NYT web article about Sandy which contains a number of alleged photos of the hurricane's effects:
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/30/us/hu ... ml?hp&_r=0

Looking at these photos via the ELA website shows that many of these photos seem to have quite questionable elements. For example, this one:

Image
http://fotoforensics.com/analysis.php?i ... a5c1.55221

Note in particular the strange rectangular blocks atop the lamp posts in the upper left of the ELA photo. It appears the lamp posts were deliberately altered, perhaps to suggest a false location. Other, cut & paste elements are also evident in the "photo."

Many of the other photos in the series also appear to have pasted-in portions that show up under ELA analysis.

Are they trying to make this hurricane look worse than it is, I wonder?

As a subscriber to the 9/11 MEMORIAL AND MUSEUM newsletter, I received this in my personal e-mail box today:

THE 9/11 MEMORIAL HAS MADE PREPARATIONS FOR HURRICANE SANDY

What a comfort to know the 911 Memorial and Museum will be protected.

Shades of Fukushima...this Daily Mail piece has a LOT of impressive pictures of the floods so far:

This report with all its pictures seems premature. The Daily Mail has more photos of the damage than any news source I've come across yet in North America, and that in itself seems odd.

I'm surprised that the crew members of the ISS have not taken photos of Sandy from their lofty vantage point for display by our informative news media outlets.

I guess they must be too busy with their important biological sample collection and weightless liquid beverage experiments.

By the time the Hurricane hits ashore the winds are expected to be about 150 MPH with waves as high as 12 feet, down from 40 feet as they are right now. I have more info that may or may not be connected to this Hurricane, but I'd rather wait until after this is all over, if I even care enough that is.

I see perishable commodity prices soaring off the back of this artificially sexed-up storm.
A hoax in which scaremongering charlatans work overtime to stoke fear in the populus.

From the Guardian (London) newspaper:
The speculative scrum driving up food prices

Last year, the price of global food floated high as ever. That's bad news for most of us, but not for those who trade commodities. In fact, 2011 was a great year for the traders, who thrive on bad news, currency woes, drought, flood, freeze, fire and all other manifestations of imminent apocalypse.

2011 was a wild ride. One spring morning, cocoa futures dropped 12% in less than a minute. Corn ascended to all-time peaks and sugar fluctuated more in one day than it used to in a month. All of which meant a bumper crop for the world's commodity exchanges – even those that used to be backwaters, like the Kansas City Board of Trade and the Minneapolis Grain Exchange, both of which recorded their highest electronic trading volumes in history.
In 1993, Executive Intelligence Review published an in-depth study of the noxious trade in food derivatives. And in the intervening decades, the vile scam has only gotten a whole lot worse.

This effort from the Daily Mail is a serious head-scratcher..

And another.. You've got to admire the electrics in Atlantic City. The lighting control boxes are largely submerged, but the traffic lights? Well they just keep on keeping on!

EDIT: loving those seagulls! What about some boats, a lighthouse, and maybe an off-shore oil rig, to really set the scene?!

Great find Maggie!

Possibly to study the effects of 'outer-space' on their native ritual of first urinating, then drinking it?

"We named the simulated hurricane after Sandy, who incidentally was nine years old during the real Hurricane of 1938."

I have made a small video about the last two months of clouds in the Atlantic and that image of Sandy, enhanced with lucis pro contrast, so the recent chemical trails are seen more clearly

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfXmvPuXaHQ

The time lapse images are from the geo-stationary satellite for Europe, meteo9, there is also at least one geo-stationary satelite like this one for the americas, the goes 13, does this, but imagery is unavailable.
You can also see exotermic reactions here http://oiswww.eumetsat.org/IPPS/html/MS ... /index.htm
They are making the weather worst for political ends.

It seems that goes 14 is already working, yet the images for the population are worst than from a mobile phone camera.http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/Data/goes.html

I spoke too soon.

Here is an ISS video that shows ... well, a big round thing with white stuff on it.
