HOW TO REGISTER AT CLUESFORUM - Update (July 2022)
Dear prospective Cluesforum members,
Thank you for your interest in joining our research forum. We have had to implement the following procedure for new registrants in order to restrain the all-too-frequent junk/troll/spammer accounts registering here - a most vexing and time-consuming annoyance. Please understand that we are not interested in having as many people as possible registering here. Our ideal new members are those who feel capable and motivated to contribute in an active, knowledgeable and thoughtful manner to this forum's discussions. We strongly encourage all members to observe a constructive attitude aimed at offering our readership a sharp and reliable resource for information - while sustaining a high standard of educational and civil discourse.
STEP 1: Click on the 'register' button at top right of the forum's board index page. Fill in your registration form as indicated.
STEP 2: Send an e-mail to Simon Shack ( [email protected] ) indicating the username you chose - together with your "HAND-SHAKE introduction". What we call the "HAND-SHAKE introduction" is just a brief text message that should ideally include some description as to your motivations to join the forum, a short summary of your personal interests & life experience - and, in general, the sort of insights/ outlooks/ contributions that you wish to share with our members and readers. Within a day or two (and given a 'positive feel' of your application), I will be activating your Cluesforum account and notify you via e-mail with a "Welcome to Cluesforum!" message.
STEP 3: When accessing the forum for the first time, please copy & paste your "HAND-SHAKE introduction" (as your first Cluesforum post) into our dedicated "Introduce Yourself" thread. This, of course, as a way of announcing your arrival to all our regular members.
Thanks for your kind comprehension with regard to our slightly unorthodox registration requirements. It is, after all, a procedure specifically devised to maintain our discussion board as pleasant, troll-free and productive as possible.
Sincerely,
Simon Shack
