If NASA faked the moon landings, does the agency have any credibility at all? Was the Space Shuttle program also a hoax? Is the International Space Station another one? Do not dismiss these hypotheses offhand. Check out our wider NASA research and make up your own mind about it all.

I'm not sure that the New Zealander Sir Edmund Hillary quite falls into the same category as Richard Branson <_< . Care to elaborate?
Take a guess!

Small clue for you. There's a common theme: both are contentious World Record holders..

"Sir" Richard Branson claimed in 1991 to have defied science, the first and only man to ever cross the Pacific in a hot air balloon.
"Sir" Edwin Hilarity.. to what did he lay claim? Hmm?
Were you there at the summit on 29 May 1953 to confirm Hilary's success as genuine? Hmm?

What was your point, resolution?

Oh, the hype !!!!

Notice they've already assumed he will succeed.

How is it defying science to cross the Pacific ocean in a hot air balloon? If fakery was involved please elaborate for those perhaps less informed than yourself.

Given that many people still climb up Mt Everest today (or fail in the attempt) and that it's a very difficult thing to do, but not outside the realms of possibility I'm unsure as to the reasons for your skepticism. Care to elaborate?

He was a New Zealander in a British expidition.
I would find it difficult to believe that he didn't reach the top of Everest.

Having said that, I do remember that when he had his funeral, he was suppose to have been a Knight of the Garter, or another one of those titles that lead back to the Vatican.

Dear resolution,

"Sir" Richard Branson has, of course, a bit of a trackrecord for flights of fantasy :)

Image

Swindles, scams, thefts, tax frauds, and occasional jail-time: the Branson modus operandi. But put all that aside? Don't doubt Branson's honesty over his supposed ballooning escapades?! Sir Tricky Dicky, for once, telling the truth? The first and only man ever to cross the Pacific in a balloon?!

Did anyone personally follow Branson and his Amazing Flying Machine through its epic flight?
Was anyone there with flags and bunting in the bitterly cold "barren wastes" of northern Canada where Branson purportedly touched down?
Not a soul there to greet and cheer Sir Richard as he landed (conveniently) miles from anywhere? Fancy that.
And who was the man with the stopwatch?
Branson purportedly flew no less than 6,000 miles in just 39 hours.
Do the maths! (153.85 mph average speed)

Image

Have you read The Balloon Hoax of 1844? Was that idiotic Victorian fraud the inspiration for Branson, and his ballooning swindle of 1991?

Was the vainglorious twerp really so devoid of scamming ideas that he plagiarised Edgar Allan Poe and his hoax of 150 years earlier?!

Branson's an obvious hoaxer, in every conceivable way.

As for the cartoon character Hilary, you might take at look at Mallory's possible summit of Everest in 1922, decades before Hilary. There's no trustworthy evidence that Mallory failed to summit.

Or that he did. In fact, I don't much like how similar Mallory and Hilary are as names.

This talk about Edmund Hilary prompted me to read this article about another biographical book on his life.
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/books/news/ar ... d=10840255

2 passages from the article jumped out at me.
But it inspired Hillary to help the locals build a school during his time there. One project followed another and led to the formation of his life's greatest achievement, the Himalayan Trust, which has worked to improve the lives of local people ever since.

Fellow mountaineer and humanitarian Graeme Dingle says Hillary avoided the usual approach at the time, which was to ask a New Zealand company to build a school. Instead he asked the Sherpas what they needed and literally gave them the tools to do the job, making them equal partners
This is quite interesting because Hilary has obviously turned his nose up at the large Multi National Corporations. As well as the International banks for funding.

He later narrowly cheats death in one major airline disaster.
He emerged with the help of his old friend June Mulgrew, whose husband Peter had died in the 1979 Erebus tragedy while standing in for Hillary as an Antarctic tour guide on the Air New Zealand flight
I Never knew that Hilary had intended to be aboard the ill fated Mt. Erebus flight.
Which has always been surrounded in mystery (with it's obvious cover up) because of the fact that no motive could be found, for the deliberate sabotaging of the flight, when it's pre flight co ordinates were changed to make the plane fly directly into the side of a mountain, knowing that visibity conditions would be poor for the pilots.
The change in co-ordinates would be the major topic of controversy in following investigations and statements
http://lynfielderebus.webs.com/causes

The Air New Zealand flight that subsequently crashed into the side of Mt. Erebus as a result of a change made to it's pre flight co ordinates, is almost a dress rehearsal for the 1983 air disaster of flight KAL007 flight that strayed into Soviet air space, as a result of it's pre flight co ordinates also being changed, then ultimately shot down.
Aboard this flight was Congressman Larry McDonald thorn of the CFR & NWO.

Also in the article about Hilary, it looks as though he also cheated death in 1975 when he may well have intended to be aboard this flight.
In 1975 Louise and Belinda were killed in a plane crash in Nepal. The tragedy had a deep and lasting impact on Hillary, who by his own admission turned in on himself and failed to cope with his grief. He repeatedly said the accident had robbed him of the two people he loved most of all

Live on tv--- Red Bull is about to drop a man from 24 miles altitude- At this time the ballon has been rising for a little over an hour and has reached 71,000 feet.

The quality of the images from inside the capsule and out are surprisingly clear. It would be nice to see if they are real or fake.

If real could he survive such a jump? apparently he will be falling a speed greater than the speed of sound.

Anyone else watching?

Anybody have a picture or knows what the camera that's recording the capsule from the land looks like?

He hasn't jumped yet! But door is open!
Image
taken from Felix RedBull web site.

But air pressure and temperature seems high at 39 000 m + altitude!

I think it is 100% fake!

Why is there always a "mission control" for everything that involves space? Why do they need a control room full of people? What are they all "monitoring" on all of those screens?
