Reason for choosing this user name: It's my first and middle name. Keep it simple.

About me: I live on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. I am mostly Irish-German. I cannot proclaim any professional expertise. My reason for joining CluesForum is mostly because of how impressed I was by the topic of whether dinosaurs are a hoax or real. While I have read quite a bit about the topic over the years, it has been rare to find people discussing something controversial (of any kind) with both clarity AND respect for those who disagree. This is a forum I would like to be a part of!

I'm not sure what I will be able to contribute; I have been doing my own independent research into many of the topics discussed on CluesForum for years and would appreciate the opportunity to contribute to a discussion if it arises. I also am a long-time fan of September Clues! I honestly cannot remember when I saw it, I'm not even sure when it came out, but it was probably 2008, maybe 2009. I was pleasantly surprised to find this forum was associated with September Clues. Mahalo!

Welcome, RyanMichael. And may good aloha come to you!

Well, as long as we're on the subject and this seems to be a good practice for us, do you have any "close calls" with people who claim to have lost loved ones in any "terrorist attacks" (recent or otherwise) or other suspicious "news events"?

What is your perspective on the invasion and overthrowing of the Hawai'ian royalty by the U.S. and armed imperial forces coming in?

Greetings Cluesforum members,

I just registered for Clues Forum under the username daddie_o. I have used daddie_o or variations of that username on a variety of sites dating back for quite some time, and I don't remember where it came from other than whimsy. I am using 'daddie_o' specifically here because that is the same username I've been using on Reddit for a few years. Around January 1 of this year I watched a 9/11 'truther' documentary (not Sept. Clues), and suddenly 'woke up.' I've been going down the conspiracy rabbit hole since, though I see that I still have a long, long way to go yet. One lesson I have taken to heart after being yanked out of the matrix is to be open-minded about everything and consider any possible claim, no matter how absurd it may seem.

I don't feel I have anything to hide, so I'll be as open and honest as I can be without giving away my personal identity. I don't want to use my real name, simply because at this point in my professional life having my name come up in a google search on CluesForum would not be the best for my career. I am a tenure-track professor in the social sciences at a research university. I am an American citizen who currently (and for the time being) lives and works in Israel (where I also have citizenship). I was raised in a not particularly religious reform household and certain not a Zionist one. In fact the only reason I live in Israel right now is that my wife, who I met in graduate school in the US, is Israeli. She desperately wanted to move back, and I agreed. In other words, I moved to Israel out of personal reasons, not ideological ones.

As much as being Jewish and living in Israel is likely to make me suspect in the eyes of many conspiracy theorists, I I don't feel I have anything to hide. In fact that's why I want to be so upfront about it, although it is certainly not required as part of the introduction. I would also like to point out that there are many (though not nearly enough) Israelis who are very critical of their country's actions (just as in the US), though unfortunately the conspiracy community here seems to be very small (though maybe I just haven't found it). Just to give you an idea of my political sensibilities, I applaud people like this former soldier for speaking out, though most Israelis would consider him to be a liar and a traitor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=monF65fJIHk

I want to join cluesforum in part because I'm a bit tired of all the shills and BS over on the conspiracy forum on Reddit. I appreciate the level and relative civility of conversation here, as well as the content. Through Miles Mathis's work and some others, I have a growing appreciation for how much of our reality has been not just manipulated but outright hoaxed, and this is the best place on the internet for that type of information. I guess I could just lurk here, but I would like to have the ability to contribute to the conversation. Also, I have seen posters here who make particularly incisive comments, and I would like to read the rest of their comment history, but am unable to do so without membership. If you want to get a better sense of the kinds of contributions I might make here, you can read my posting and comment history at Reddit where my username is u/daddie_o. Here are some links to some posts with my own original content/research:

Being that I have training in the social sciences, I might be able to contribute in terms of drawing inferences from evidence and other things related to the social sciences and social theory. And living in Israel, I might be able to provide an 'on the ground' perspective for anyone interested. I would also be interested in researching more about some of the things happening in Israel from the perspective of hoaxes. The population here has been quite terrorized over the years (on both sides), and at some point I'd like to know how much of it is pure fabrication. For example, I believe that the Rabin assassination was hoaxed. There is a conspiracy theory that he was killed by the SHABAK (it's like Israel's FBI), but I lean towards the hypothesis that his assassination was completely staged. The last 6 months or so there has been a wave of Arab Israelis and Palestinians attempting to stab Jewish Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers and being shot. It has really upped the level of animosity and suspicion. Many of these incidents have been captured on film, usually cellphone cameras. I don't feel like I have the technical ability to analyze the videos, but perhaps it is something that some in this research community would be interested in looking into, which I would be happy to facilitate and take part in.

And, in light of the standard question that seems to be asked of new members: I do not know anybody who was involved in any way in any hoaxes or psyops or anything like that, nor will I claim in the future that 'I knew somebody who was there.' And yes, that includes the holocaust.

Welcome daddie_o!

I've been looking forward to discussing conspiracy with someone from Israel. I think your insight into what's really going on in the streets of Israel is a valuable resource. You also have a perspective about the region that I hope you will share lots of. If you are willing, I would love to bounce some ideas off of you about what I think is really going on in Syria.

Welcome, daddie_o.

though unfortunately the conspiracy community here seems to be very small (though maybe I just haven't found it).

Well, you are right for better or worse. And what might be considered anything remotely like a "real" community — friends meeting one another in person, etc. — is limited to a few people who have gone to meet Simon or met other researchers in person and actually spoke about it openly here. I am not sure how many would consider themselves "conspiracy" anything, either, though that's the pejorative word of the day for people gathering and doing something with antisocial intentions.

Everything else you could label "community" would have to start with something like "proto-" since it seems most of us are quite the opposite of settled and antisocial plotters with no fluidity, being semi-anonymous strangers writing civil, responsible and humane text in the interests of a more peaceful, just, sound and happy world. (For the most part, disagreements and moderation notwithstanding.)

Anyway, I hope your contributions are in that interest, and it sounds like they could be!

P.S. Thank you for trying to bring intelligent discussion to Reddit.

Some other members have tried that as well, with varying levels of success. It's interesting that there is such a huge cyber-social barrier to truth, even when it's freely available for everyone to explore for themselves.

There's just so much disinfo and misdirection out there in cyberspace. As much as the internet has helped to spread the truth, it has also made it that much harder to distinguish from 'almost true.' Not that I claim to know what's true and what isn't.... at least not yet. ;)

As for conspiracy community, I agree 100% with your observations, though what I meant was just that I haven't come across other Israeli conspiracy theorists, with the exception of Barry Chamish, who was also American by birth and now lives in the US. But that might also be because I still have trouble reading and writing in Hebrew, so mainly stick to English-language sources and sites.

I'm just reading it now, about 3/4 way done in fact. I'll just say one word - "Ireland". Carbon copy of the "Crown's" ( to give them their proper title ) involvement on this Island. Even down to the Barrister "Pearse" of the Kings Inn's in Dublin (Est: 1541) who they, the "Brits", executed the next day. Yes, the "1916 Uprising" lasted all of an hour and a half - in a Post Office and shillfully sic played by British agents. "The Leaders of the Rising", despite having no previous convictions, hah, were the only ones who took part and were all captured and executed the next day back to London-via-Liverpool on the first available boat. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

And let’s not forget Chaudhry Rehmat Ali – the ‘spiritually pure and clean’ ‘English Mullah’ who said, “Let there be Pakistan” and there was Pakistan. And Ali saw that it was good...for the Crown.

Education and career

Ali was born into a Punjabi Gujjar[4] family with Gorsi clan in the town of Balachaur in Hoshiarpur District of Punjab India. After graduating from Islamia Madrassa Lahore in 1918, he taught at Aitchison College Lahore before joining Punjab University to study law. In 1930 he moved to England to join Emmanuel College, Cambridge in 1931. In 1933, he published a pamphlet, Now or Never, coining the word Pakistan for the first time. In 1933, he founded Pakistan National Movement in England. Subsequently, he obtained a BA degree in 1933 and MA in 1940 from the University of Cambridge. In 1943, he was called to the Bar, from Middle Temple, London. Until 1947, he continued publishing various booklets about his vision for South Asia...

Conception of 'Pakistan'

In 1932, Ali moved to a now famous house in Cambridge, on 3 Humberstone Road. It was in one of the rooms of this house that he is said to have written the word 'Pakstan' for the first time. There are several accounts of the creation of the name. According to a friend, Abdul Kareem Jabbar, the name came up when Ali was walking along the banks of the Thames in 1932 with his friends Pir Ahsan-ud-din and Khwaja Abdul Rahim. According to Ali's secretary Miss Frost, he came up with the idea while riding on the top of a London bus.[6]

On 28 January 1933, Ali voiced the idea in a pamphlet titled "Now or Never; Are We to Live or Perish Forever?".[7] The word 'Pakstan' referred to "the five Northern units of India, viz. : Punjab, North-West Frontier Province (Afghan Province), Kashmir, Sind and Baluchistan"".[8][9] By the end of 1933, 'Pakistan' had become common vocabulary, and an i was added to ease pronunciation (as in Afghan-i-stan).[10]

In a subsequent book, Ali discussed the etymology in further detail.[11]

'Pakistan' is both a Persian and an Urdu word. It is composed of letters taken from the names of all our South Asia homelands; that is, Punjab, Afghania, Kashmir, Sindh and Balochistan. It means the land of the Paks – the spiritually pure and clean.

Hi, yes, I was definitely planning on posting it. Which forum do you think is most appropriate: Worldwide media deceptions, General World Affairs, somewhere else?

Yes that's a good question. I think one of those two, I would suggest 'Worldwide media deceptions'.
