Re: Does Rocketry Work beyond Earth's atmosphere?

In contrast Richard Branson's effort looked genuine. It's a kind of tacit admission that all manned orbit missions are fake, because if not the whole Virgin Galactic enterprise would be too trivial to bother with. Branson's 86 Km altitude (still below the Harman Kardon line) may be a record if Alan ...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings

Dear Simon, No, not at all. The hoaxes have been exposed brilliantly on here. But I would still like to know what is physically possible and what is being done in secret. I have seen nothing to say that 1) a rocket cannot exceed escape velocity however uncontrolled its trajectory 2) a free fall dron...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings

Such an elaborate charade just to drain the Treasury when you can do it so easily with QE. Perhaps space belongs to an earlier age when there was still some oversight of budgets and hoaxes had to be convincing, at least for committees. Now they don't seem to bother much at all and it is just for kid...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings

Attitude Control is the big problem for a satellite, preventing and correcting spin, and accurately aligning instruments, antenna and booster nozzles. But once you think of a free fall drone with the requisite active control systems, boosters and fuel it is not so improbable when compared with airbo...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings

Could the chance of a satellite meeting any random object in LEO be approximated as a volumetric ratio? ie vol of satellite / (vol of outer orbit sphere - inner orbit sphere}. This figure would then be multiplied by the number of random objects. The chance of being in in wrong place at wrong time wo...

Re: THE VACCINATION DECEIT

Thank you for the interesting post. I have seen that low paid casual work looking after young adult severely autistic people has become common now (in WA). In 1992 when I did post graduate teacher training (junior school, UK) autism was not even mentioned once. I had problems in teaching practice wi...

Re: Elon Musk, SpaceX and PayPal

What we would like to see is Falcon 9 fuel mass at launch, and fuel mass and velocity at start of descent. All the fuel mass for the descent has to be lifted and accelerated, and then de-accelerate again before it burns. Or maybe they have a gas station up there. And while they are about it perhaps ...

Re: Testing the TYCHOS - stellar parallax and all

Dear Simon, The rotational speed of a man on the equator is 1662 km/hr. (Pi x12799/24). This would give a half diurnal (12hr) variation in the speed of light of plus / minus 1662 Km/hr (if Relativity doesn't hold). If you wanted to check the PVP orbital speed you would compare the variation obtained...

Re: Introducing the TYCHOS

Dear Simon, I think there may be two problems with this. 1) The sun travels with the Earth as it revolves around it. 2) In Sidereal terms the calculation is still wrong. In one half year (between the Equinoxes) the Earth travels 0.0071 degrees around the centre of the PVP orbit. The shift in the tan...

His comedy is always based on one thing - exploiting the good nature and hospitality of the real people he chooses as victims, expecting us the audience to share his contempt for them, both for who they are and their stupidity in inviting him in and accepting his ridiculous persona. My reaction was ...

Re: V1 and V2 NAZI rockets (WW2): another old hoax?

The Red Army build up in 1941 was offensive and of a scale that it had to attack at some point in time. The logistics prohibited staying put. Perhaps there was little choice but to make a pre-emptive attack. History is written as if Hitler was an idiot and exercised complete arbitrary power, but it'...

Re: V1 and V2 NAZI rockets (WW2): another old hoax?

Perhaps more accurate to say that WW1 was a project engineered to prevent German industrial growth overtaking the British Empire. The old enemy, Imperial Russia was destroyed by mobilising and financing the Bolsheviks, using ethnic insurgency to wipe out and replace a whole culture and class. German...
