Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings
Hi Dmitry, I don't think we are getting much of anywhere with this, but I just want to hear your presumptions. They seem to tell us a lot about conventional excuses for bad imagery. So the rocket's appearance in the last image - of its top being more toward the camera than the other images - is bec...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings
I picked the ones with identical perspective. Dmitry says they use a mounted camera but has no citation that the camera is mounted. This supposition seems to me much more natural than a bunch of paparazzi running around and taking photos from different angles. However, looking at the other pictures...

Re: BURAN - and the spaced-out Soviet efforts
After the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nedelin_catastrophe it really should be mounted and remote controlled.whatsgoingon wrote:You are violating Occam's razor and suggesting that cameras are computer controlled and mounted and so forth. I am saying the simpler hypothesis.

Re: BURAN - and the spaced-out Soviet efforts
They must have footprints on the ground for the photoshooter man with exact elevation and azimuth details for his camera angle. The smoke looks terrible. Oh and the lighting is exactly the same. Nothing really different but the writing. But thanks for your cautious advice. In your opinion, what, mu...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings
But Dmitry tell us about the space program that launches these "Satellites" each year. Why are they photoshopping their rockets and such? Sir Bedevere: What makes you think she's a witch? Peasant 3: Well, she turned me into a newt! Sir Bedevere: A newt? Peasant 3: [meekly after a long pau...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings
In my revised drawing I get 1800 km arc with a theta of 16.2 deg. Reflection point can be 600 km. Target is N. Algeria on the same azimuth. Cheers. Lots of things to re-consider here.. http://www2.picturepush.com/photo/a/9046820/800/Anonymous/ionosphere-refraction-3.png Details, tweaks, etc. Reflec...

At the same time, they are inclined to the equator. It is also South to you, sorry.whatsgoingon wrote:An example of an array of terrestrial units near me (at 37.919952, -122.299454). Image from Google maps. Pointed down south to S. California.

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings
But we are still on the 168 degree azimuth and just a little further north for the quoted 30 degree elevation chi angle on their website. In my revised drawing I get 1800 km arc with a theta of 16.2 deg. Reflection point can be 600 km. Target is N. Algeria on the same azimuth. Cheers. This time, it...

Re: BURAN - and the spaced-out Soviet efforts
Nice find Simon. You also will not believe the launch photos for all the satellites. Check out the uncanny resemblance, i.e. the same exact angles and lighting during launch. Only the writing on the nose cone changes more or less. http://space.skyrocket.de/doc_lau_det/ariane-44lp_h10-3.htm ht...

Re: BURAN - and the spaced-out Soviet efforts
The most extraordinary part of this story - technically speaking - is that BURAN was a carbon-copy of the NASA Shuttle - down to the smallest details: http://www.septclues.com/SPACE%20SHUTTLE/BURAN_SHUTTLEcompared1.jpg Dolphins look a lot like fishes. They even didn't steal the design, but simply l...

At least not so overpopulated to let masses of people just standing (smoking? drinking vodka? playing ba...

Why can we find 2 pictures such as these? Isn't the first photo just the 'master template' used to fabricate the 2nd image?

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings
Are you here to distract and confuse or are you a mathematically-gifted idiot? Excuse by language but it is clear you do not read directions at all. I hope you do not take it the wrong way if you are in fact honest in your error which you are going to repeat for 2-3 days and loose all sense of cred...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings
"Formerly named"??? What could possibly be the logical reason for changing the names of all these satellites over time? (well, actually in March 2012). Just imagine the utter, formidable aggravation and confusion this must cause among the poor folks in charge of monitoring/ tracking/ serv...

http://i1260.photobucket.com/albums/ii567/888oct888/ionosphere_reflection.png whatsgoingon, This picture is even clearer, but I wonder why didn't you draw the chord and the line from the centre of the Earth to the reflection point. But the most strange is the absence of resulting numbers. Please le...
