Re: The Moon Hoax

"In actuality, the round-trip time of about 2½ seconds is affected by the relative motion of the Earth and the Moon, the rotation of the Earth, lunar libration, weather, polar motion, propagation delay through Earth's atmosphere, the motion of the observing station due to crustal motion and tid...

Re: The Moon Hoax

1000 mph divided by 60 minutes, divided by 60 seconds, equals 0.27 miles per second, times by 2.6 seconds, equals 0.72 miles, or three quarter miles shift from the start of the laser. Then this must obviously be true for the "bouncing lasers off the moon's surface" claim, as well. Could t...

Jesus is the one true Lord. And I should know, I've followed a few.
Absolutely no prize for guessing which religious movie I stole that quote from.

Re: Reviewing Hollywood snakery

Spreading confusion is a very powerful mind-fuck modus operandi Damn right. And when their modus operandi has me confused, I sigh and say to myself: It's ALL bullshit after all :) And I feel better. It's ALL bullshit after all :) But it's a double-edged sword, I suppose; on one side you have a grou...

Re: Reviewing Hollywood snakery

My wife and I watched Promised Land a couple of weeks ago. Long-winded synopsis here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2091473/ For what it's worth, it stars Matt Damon, Frances McDormand, John Krasinski and Hal Holbrook, written by Krasinski, directed by Gus Van Sant. Not the worst movie you could watch...

Re: Eritrean and Somali Boat Before Sinking video, above: I watched that and thought it was a bit odd that somebody was openly filming the commission of a crime. Right next to the wheel-house, no less, thereby potentially recording incriminating evidence not only against the individual passengers, b...

First, thanks to Resolution for linking the article above. Reminds me of Lysander Spooner ( http://lysanderspooner.org/node/44 ) as I suppose it should, being that the truth is the truth is the truth. Second, I have watched a few "live" broadcasts of the Washington Naval Base alleged shoot...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings

Yet, not once did a rocket crash, on take-off or otherwise, during the whole Apollo mission half a century ago. The epithet 'Rocket Scientist' has lost a bit of its lustre since the good old days when manned rockets were as reliable as a Toyota.

Re: The (non-religious) dinosaur hoax question

Well, I've been meaning to look into radio-carbon dating, myself, but I've kept it on the back-burner for several months. Nevertheless, here is a video I came across last year which briefly touches on the subject: edit: Please do not be alarmed by the "UFOTV" logo, as this video is not an...
