Re: RedBull SpaceDive

Two frightening stats I saw today: Apparently 4 million (or similar) watched the "jump" on the "live feed". One million switched off the moment it was clear he wasn't going to die!! A UK survey revealed that only 7% of people's main source for news is the internet, while 76% say ...

Re: The invention of AIDS

The AIDS myth deconstructed by Gary Null RfUYtXxps-Y I know some people in Zimbabwe and went there for my friend's wedding in 2001. Got into a conversation with a white South African who lived there about Aids. She told me "They're dying and the deaths are being recorded as malaria deaths but ...

Re: "Obama Sin Laden" & other stories about Barack Obama

My kid was born the night he got elected - her middle name is Stanley in homage to the historic event - actually I thought I wanted a boy and he'd have been named Stanley and this was a good excuse to shoehorn it in there. So did a bit of research back then and found an article about Obama being bor...

Re: Mansion Murderer Chris Foster, Shropshire, UK, 26/08/200

This was way before the days of Photoshop! I'm in total agreement with you BTW - those images look very fake to me. As I recall all our window frames were still there when I got back from school and it was all under control - like I said I'll look out the pics. Ha, just realised I'm sitting in the r...

Re: Mansion Murderer Chris Foster, Shropshire, UK, 26/08/200

So what could the Osbaston Hall hoax be about? Guns are bad - don't have one lying around or you too might get so depressed you'll flip and kill your whole family. My dad told me the other day he'd handed in one of his .22 rifles to the cop shop (and he gave the other one to a friend just recently)...

Opps - this post is about 2 hours behind the beat - oh well... Would it be helpful to make a distinction between disinfo and misinfo? – let's face it, none of us has(/have) all the answers ;) Here's a post by Andy Tyme from LRF I thought was very insightful and pertinent here: ANDY'S METAPHYSICAL TA...

Re: Do You Literally Think There Are Shills Online

Just had a long chat with Brian S on Skype - I think he's about as straight up as they come. Just my opinion for what it is worth.
Can we move this episode to the Derailing Room? I explained to him this is not what this thread is for and I'm sure he gets it.

Re: Do You Literally Think There Are Shills Online

Brian, chill. No one is accusing you of anything. You come across as a very sincere man. Your posts are just a bit too emotional, slightly garbled and often badly punctuated, that's all. There was one the other day where you repeated the same thing three times - it was a ball ache to read and I foun...

Thanks, the time counter was just messin' with me. Haven't had a chance to listen properly yet, had it on in the background and had to leave just as they got on to Brevik. What is their take on that? They seemed to be talking about him as a real, flesh and blood person.

Re: Krawetz repudiates Gradient Map test

Fair enough, my comment was childish. Sorry. Just frustration at always being told we're looking for things that aren't there. I agree about sustaining a dialogue with Dr Krawetz, he doesn't sound to like he'll want to though.
