1. You start describing all the members of your Family as Angels... heck you start seeing Angels.
2. You start seeing your co-workers smiles or laughs or Joy or Humor or enthusiasm or they themselves or their love of life or energy or cheer or joie de vivre or legs as infectious.
3 You start photoshopping your family members pictures.
4 You start posting 'Happy birthday' to supposedly dead people.
5 Whenever the car successfully starts you say to yourself or any passengers "All systems are nominal".
6 You create a range of memorial baby clothing for your supposedly dead relatives.
7 You keep booking & cancelling flights hoping that you too can be a 'lucky survivor'.
8 You come home from work & have a conversation with the missus that goes something like this...
“Oh you’re not watching that rubbish are you?”
“Yes dear and I know it’s stupid & fake and they’re trying to sell me the idea of competent super cops, evil terrorists & nukes... I know this but I don’t care”
9 If you can’t find your phone you & your team perform the huge logistical task of plastering a city with missing phone flyers.
10 You start burying toy cars in your garden & posting videos of them as news.
11 The family day out of 'terrorist manual spotting' is less than successful.
12 You try to make a nuke proof omelette.
13 You look to your mobile device to help you say "I love you".
14 You trawl through victim lists looking for people with the same name as you... then post tributes to them as if they were still alive.
15 You annoy the wife by pointing out all the suspicious stories in any newspapers you find. You know she stops listening by page 5...
"Look, a 33 & a 66!"
16 You visit someones home & for just a fraction of a second are surprised to see a TV in their living room... switched on!
17 You start to wonder how many planes have really crashed at all.
18 Psyop is an actual verb used in your household... “Don’t try & psyop me dear”
19 You actually spend time wondering how a grenade trebuchet would work.
20 People at work mention something in passing & you have no idea what or why they’re saying the things they’re saying... “You’ve got a cough... hope it’s not Ebola, lol”.
21 Whenever a great or monumental moment happens in your life you act pissed off, ashamed & uncomfortable.
“Congratulations on the birth of your son”
“Feck off... I didn’t see no stars”
22 You keep spoiling magic tricks or special effects for everyone...
"Oh that’s green screen there"
"The box is bigger than it appears that's how she can fit inside that thing"

I don't know if I get all of it, but it's humor writing, so I'll put it in the Art Corner section.
It seems to paint CluesForum readers or contributors as unable to distinguish between reality and fiction — which is the opposite effect we hope to achieve. But okay, maybe that's your MO.

Re: The Age of Media Fakery: Art Corner
Most of it is a satire, some of it is real... it's overall a mockery of those stupid list articles you find all over the internet. I felt strangely compelled to write it so the art corner is probably a good place for it.
I thought it might serve as a humorous & light summary of media fakery research with a name plug for the website in the title.
But I'm open to suggestions.
I will state for the record that I very strongly doubt actual Cluesforum readers & contributors, including yourself Hoi, would create their own memorial baby clothing... but apparently everyone else is meant to believe that 9/11 vicsims do.

CM,
I think that what Hoi has issues with - is the way you titled your (very funny and informative) post. I would have named it with this slightly longer title:
"22 ways that your current behavior (good or bad) might be explained by being on Cluesforum a lot"
But hey, maybe some day we will be called "Angels of Truth"!

Hmmm doesn't fit... but yeah I see what you mean, the current title seems 'off'.simonshack wrote: I would have named it with this slightly longer title:

Shilling for a Living
Gatekeepers and shills have got to pay bills,
please spare a penny for their thoughts as they try to connect the dots,
they enlighten us with the truth so there's no need to be a sleuth,
listen to Alex Jones or David Icke,
pushing endless fear porn what's not to like?

Yeah, but it's made of crumpled Ayn Rand novels, so it weighs almost nothing.
I stole that joke.
