The Story Behind The Most Famous Missing Apostrophe in Las Vegas
David G. Schwartz Sep 4, 2018

Truth is, the game was rigged from the start. So I study gaming.

It’s one of those insider Vegas tricks that’s actually right in front of your face in big letters: If you’re talking about the hotel casino that Evel Knievel made famous and The Hangover reminded us of, you never use an apostrophe. It’s Caesars, not Caesar’s Palace.

Some Vegas gaffes are hard to live down, like splitting tens at a crowded blackjack table. Inserting an apostrophe into “Caesar’s” Palace isn’t as obvious because you can’t hear it. It’s only when you have to write it down that you risk tipping your hand as someone who doesn’t know as much about Las Vegas as they should.

Indeed, the lack of an apostrophe isn’t a grammatical lapse: it’s woven into the property’s DNA.

“Successful hotel operator, builder and designer Jay Sarno created Caesars Palace with the belief that everyone should have the opportunity to be treated like royalty at his opulent Roman-themed destination resort,” says Gary Selesner, regional president of Caesars Palace. “Therefore, Sarno removed the apostrophe in the resort’s name to signify that Caesars would be a palace for everyone, not just Caesar. Since it opened on Aug. 5, 1966, the iconic Las Vegas Strip resort has welcomed all guests to live like Caesar and enjoy the best and most luxurious experiences offered on property. Caesars Palace even celebrates the lack of an apostrophe with its popular Apostrophe Bar.”

In a city that routinely demolishes old (and even not-so-old) buildings and doesn’t always hold its history in the highest regard, it’s refreshing to see a casino that not only remembers its early days, but pays homage to them. The Apostrophe Bar has both “Sarno” and “Missing Apostrophe” cocktails for those who are in on the joke, and fans of the history.

In the name of gender equality/neutrality I hereby propose the development of a new mega-resort on the Vegas Strip.

ESTHERS PALACE

Every girl (and boy) should have the opportunity to be treated like a princess so the palace will be open to all. Except for the Gloria Steinem Jewish American Princess Suites, of course. Sorry non-Jewesses.

And the VIP Persian Princess Parties will be by invitation only. Sorry non-Mizrahi Jewesses.

You can hit the Purim Pub, get $chittfaced and laugh the night away with your buddies during happy hour. And on Saturday nights you can submit your best Haman or Vashti jokes for a chance to win a free trip to the Promise Land.

For that special Princess in your life, a romantic night at the rooftop Sin Bar is sure to leave her moonstruck.

And as all Iranians know, your average Christian Louboutin shoes and box of Godiva chocolates will not do for the very special more cultured Persian Princess.

Two words: Mahmoud Farshchian!

I could go on but you get the picture.

A heartfelt plea to the Mainstream Media

First of all, I’d like every person associated with the media (especially the ones I’ve highlighted here on CF) to know that I don’t have anything against them personally in any way whatsoever. Neither do I have anything against any individual Jew. In fact, I’ve had the good fortune to cross paths with many Jews in Iran and America that have been genuinely kind to me. No grudges, seriously. I sincerely hope that we can all just chalk it up to a big misunderstanding and have an international day of mutual forgiveness across the board so that we could all (Jew & Gentile) put it behind us and move on.

I have a dream that someday CNN will produce a few segments displaying Iran in a positive light. Who knows? Maybe Israeli and Iranian kids could have some sort of student exchange program…

I think if you can get Wolf Blitzer to sing despacito, then you can achieve anything you set your mind to. :P

Despite tension between Iran and Israel, Iran’s Jewish minority feels at home

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHV1QUs-BA4

PBS NewsHour Nov 27, 2018

Jewish people have called Iran home for nearly 3,000 years. The Trump administration and U.S. ally Israel often depict the Iranian government as composed of anti-Semitic radical Islamists bent on destroying Israel. But within Iran, many of the estimated 15,000 Jews say they're safe and happy living in the Islamic Republic. Reza Sayah takes a rare inside look at life for Iran's Jewish minority.

Iranians make a strong distinction between Judaism and Zionism. The former is viewed as a monotheistic religion and the later as a colonialist ideology and practice. Consequently, the everyday Jewish people are not hold responsible for the crimes of Israel. The Iranian Emperor, Cyrus the Great, liberated the Jews from slavery in Babylon in 500 BC and allowed Jews to stay in Iran. Consequently, the Iranian Jews have lived in Iran for more than 2000 years, have developed strong Iranian identity, and have well-integrated into the mainstream Iranian society.

Why not enlist Alexandra Pelosi and deploy her to Iran? Perhaps she can put her exceptional investigative skills to use there.

Same could be said for the latest US/Iran theatrics.

All the so called experts are positive that Amalek will strike America/Americans. It's just a matter of time they say.

In other words, we're just one psy-op away from walking into a buzz-saw.

They're already setting up Trump for the fall.

Iran Will Be Folded Into Impeachment Push
Jan 6, 2020

RUSH: This is Bobby in Washington. Great to have you, sir. Welcome to the program.

CALLER: (silence)

RUSH: Bobby hung up. Well, don’t take it off the screen. What Bobby was gonna say was, “The Iranians did the best thing they could have done. They posted pictures of Trump’s properties. A threat now. Democrats can say anything Trump does is personal.” He thinks this was a smart move by the Iranians. So the Iranians have posted a picture of Mar-a-Lago. They’ve posted Trump Tower. They’ve posted pictures of all the Trump golf courses.

They’re actively… By the way, folks, I’m not exaggerating here. When Mahmoud Ahmadinejad [A Cryp, not a Blood] was invited to give a speech at Columbia, do you know why he was? ‘Cause he was ripping Bush, and the administration at Columbia University loved Bush being ripped. So they invite Ahmadinejad. They invited Hugo Chavez as well. It was during the United Nations annual meeting in September and October.

So they bring Ahmadinejad over and he makes his anti-American, ["]pro-Iranian["] speech about how they’re loving and they’re compassionate, filled with all the language designed to fool a bunch of brainwashed liberal students, and they open it up to Q&A. Somebody some of the audience asks Ahmadinejad about homosexuals and homosexuality in Iran, and Ahmadinejad said, “Well, we don’t have any homosexuals in Iran,” and the audience had some pockets erupt in laughter.

Not everybody because some were scared of the guy. But people erupted in laughter when Ahmadinejad said, “We don’t have any homosexuals in Iran.” When the audience began laughing, Ahmadinejad says, “Oh, do you — do you know some? Could you tell — could you tell me where they live?” So this regime (laughing) literally does put to death known homosexuals (and now, I’m sure, transgenders — and if somebody wants to take a goat or a sheep behind the barn and the Iranian government finds out about it, those people are done, too.

https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2020 ... ment-push/

Forget Hafez, Rumi, Saadi and the dozens of other Iranian literary masters, this madar jendeh (Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) is the most quoted Iranian in all the Western world. Why is that?

Petraeus Says Trump May Have Helped ‘Reestablish Deterrence’ by Killing Suleimani
The former U.S. commander and CIA director says Iran’s “very fragile” situation may limit its response.
By Lara Seligman
| January 3, 2020, 1:37 PM

Foreign Policy: What impact will the killing of Gen. Suleimani have on regional tensions?

David Petraeus:
It is impossible to overstate the importance of this particular action. It is more significant than the killing of Osama bin Laden or even the death of [Islamic State leader Abu Bakr] al-Baghdadi. Suleimani was the architect and operational commander of the Iranian effort to solidify control of the so-called Shia crescent, stretching from Iran to Iraq through Syria into southern Lebanon. He is responsible for providing explosives, projectiles, and arms and other munitions that killed well over 600 American soldiers and many more of our coalition and Iraqi partners just in Iraq, as well as in many other countries such as Syria. So his death is of enormous significance.

https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/01/03/pe ... eterrence/
The number of people allegedly killed by this Amalek was all over the place (into the thousands) but they’ve seemed to come to the consensus “truth” of 600.

Par for the course.

Israel

[Walid] Phares has said that "[Israel's] only rational and historical choice is to link up once more with the Christian community of Lebanon. This may represent a choice which may not be appreciated among many Israelis, for various reasons, but it remains one which cannot be avoided... The Christians of Lebanon are the only potential ally against the advance of the northern Arabo-Islamic threat against Israel."[25]
