I'm just saying. All you can read on our media, here under the metric system, is that"Isaac" is going at "119 km/h". Just a coincidence, or yet another red light, an announcement that the story is fake and only the hypnotized masses are supposed to take it seriously and be scared by it?

In any case, while election day approaches even faster than Isaac "Asimov" (that is supposed to arrive to New Orleans on the same day as Katrina did  ), we are served the same old scenario: too late to evacuate; people that won't leave; will the levees hold? are the african americans being targeted? will the military save the city? will the president save the world? etc etc global warming viva Obama yawn

Well, real speed or not, it makes for good political fodder, doesn't it?

Seeing the after effects of Katrina with my own eyes, any hurricane/storm/tornado coming my way, 119km/hr, 80km/hr, hell 45km/hr would be enough to send my bum packing. Well, I change my mind. The hurricane itself I can deal with. I just think I would rather not be living near any levees built by the Army Corps of Engineers in any place a storm surge could reach.

I do hope everyone who has the capacity to leave, does just that. I feel so sorry for senior citizens who must rely on others for their own survival when shit hits the fan. Or rely on their government for any source of assistance, other than a well-planned photo op and token "I feel your pain" hug.

Yes and no Simon.

In this case CGI means Common Gateway Interface. It's an executable file while resides on the Web Server and runs in realtime! Stock Markets use it all the time. On Apache Web Server, on which most websites run, there is a directory called .../httpd/cgi-bin, wherin executables, small programs, may reside. I'd hazard a guess it was written in the Perl programming scripting language, but there are others too. C can be used and PHP and Server Side Java and Ruby...

well i am probably stating the obvious but the relevance of 119 km/h is not simply in the dubious reality of the number as much as in the ever popping up of the numbers "11" and "9" as marker of altered/manipulated/hyped or entirely artificial and scripted news events.

These subliminal reminders of 9/11 are an important signal for us: they very likely mean that the state of anxiety and fear and other ominous expectations in the general public are being re-fueled. But I suspect the numbers also serve as a wink to those "in the know".

Still to linger in the obvious, the deliberate nature in the use of these numbers rather than others in the italian news article I quoted in my previous post, is even more noticeable in the fact that the article actually states that the storm travels "at more than 119 km/hr".

This expression is completely unexplainable, any real journalist (if that thing existed) would have simply reported the exact speed of the storm without picking this particular speed as a reference and comparison.

Thanks for the info Brian...

I feel relieved that it was no hallucination - even though I probably made a bit of a fool of myself there. :P

My favorite Isaac images so far...

So as predicted, the drama of inefficiency that marked the Bush years (in order to justify the "caught off guard" premise to 9/11) is not to be repeated but only hinted at. We are now in the resilient and safe years of Osbama.
Even though CNN still carries it in home page as I write, hurricane "Isaac" is hardly news.

But here's another picture that looks manipulated. It is not only strangely blurred: The guy with the cap in the back is so small he seems to be sitting outside the boat. Or into another invisible boat in the back...

The numbers 9 and 11 were used long before 2001.

Even the MKULTRA (CIA) mind control documents reference September 11, 1954.
