My pseudonym is Mark Manual. I live in Toronto. I'm a fan of the Fakeologist podcasts and did a short lived web video series where I played September Clues on a live internet stream. I like journalism, and writing however I'm more of a big picture kind of person. I'm skilled in web development / internet marketing / advertising / filmmaking.
I'm working on a podcast network called Garbage Media to take out the trash in media.

Primarily I'm here to collaborate with other people from CluesForum. With my marketing, media and business development background I hope to add something positive to this community.

I have studied the works of Marshall McLuhan, who had some great things to say regarding communications, technology, media and propaganda which is how I got here!

I dream of an awesome live action September Clues movie sequel with another awesome soundtrack!
Hello. Welcome. I hope you post original research, too. If you just want to promote your show, I wonder if "Garbage Media" is the best title. It makes it sound like that's what you produce. I know names are tricky kind of marketing things in and of themselves, but you might want to consider a less trashy title for media you are proud of.

Just taking the opportunity to bring this to the front should we have some visitors from France. And I read today that the French recently CELEBRATED the outbreak of the First World War.

Hello CluesForum members & administrators,

i'm a norwegian expatriate and i presently live in Paris, France.
an architect by training, i always have been interested in 'the big picture'.
my interest for alternative views and news began well before 911 when i went down the Erich von Däniken rabbit-hole as a youngster.... from the time of the 1995 Oklahoma bombing i started being seriously critical of my unbeknown religion; The State...
even as critical i was of the media and governments, i never put much fate in the 9/11 'no-plane' theory as i deemed the military capable of anything with technology 30 years ahead of what the mainstream would know of.... with the internet i mostly abandoned reading for listening and in my frequent audio excursions, i came over Fakeologist out of my interest for Chemtrails and more specifically Ab's show with Sofia Smallstorm/Shafquat..

then it clicked !

i finally understood that deception was the name of the game, and i could for the first time understand why for instance no planes were needed to make 9/11 happen...

my interest in the big picture is still intact, and feel Cluesforum is a rare place for insightful information and discussion. with the recent events in Paris and the development in Chemtrails theory i'd really like to join your discussion-forums both as a french-speaker and as an amateur Chemtrails theorist.

Hey there UNreal.

I'm afraid we're sticklers for English writing conventions, we tend to capitalise when referring to the first person singular and at the beginning of sentences. You will find the Good Member Guide here http://www.cluesforum.info/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1009

Yes, welcome. And please do read the link brianv sent. Just write as though people will be reading it for years afterwards, because they will. So convention is key. Capitals. Paragraphs. Spell-check.

After all, we are talking about very unconventional topics. So let's give the audience a little slack. B)

Hello,

I am quite fond of architecture, design as well as graphic design, and this is directly related to the fact i mostly write without any capitalisation...

In fact, i felt convinced by the German Bauhaus mouvement that capitalisation of letters has no meaning in a spoken sense, so to use it in writing is an addition that has no need to be if we truly mean to write the language we speak..
'Why should we write and print in two alphabets? Both a large sign and a small sign are not necessary to identify a single sound. We do not speak in a capital A and a small a. a single alphabet gives us practically the same result as the mixture of upper and lower case letters, and at the same time is less of a burden on all who write.'
(Bauhaus 1919-1928 )

Although i did read article 4 entitled "Always check your spelling and grammar", i fail so see how capitalization constitutes a grammatical error or a spelling mistake,,, I would of course be glad to be corrected on that point, and hereby write in capitalized form until this matter sees conclusion !

This isn't a place for your personal vendetta against the English language or any encrypted speech — colloquial or otherwise. This is a place to use the English language to communicate with people around the world about commonly understandable deception technologies that we expose.

I don't think I need to spell out for you that using commas to make an ellipsis is also bad form. Why are you arguing this point? You clearly just have an attitude problem that you are not coming clean on at the outset. That's not a "strength" here. That's like waving a middle finger at our readership and contributors. You want us to just accept further punctuation errors as some kind of a valid argument?

If you can't respect your audience with proper spelling and grammar, I will have to ban you, sorry. Any more arguing about it will indicate to me that you also have an anti-social bent that is definitely not needed here.

Hello hoi.polloi / brianv,

Point well taken, my comment was more humorously intended.
As a creative, the focus on detail is often excessive !

Somewhat ironic that your Bauhaus statement uses standard English format :P

Dear UNreal,

You are a fellow Norwegian living in Paris, I have talked with you on air - and I warmly welcome you to this forum.

Having said that, I totally support Hoi and Brianv in asking you to write in conventional manner.

See, one of the major problems we have here on this forum (when it comes to reaching out to the whole wide world) is to make our readers understand that we are, after all, just quite normal people - with 'normal' upbringings / educations. So, at this time in history, let us behave for now - gramatically speaking - like our (best) forefathers.

Handshake Introduction for T21

I am an Italian male, currently living in northwestern Italy.
I work in the procurement area of a manufacturing company and have a 10+ years experience in the IT field.

I speak and write fluently English, French, Spanish and in my (mostly business) trips I had the chance to meet and know better the cultures and lifestyles of part of Europe and the Americas.

I have always been interested in alternative theories and information and in how media and communication change the reality we perceive and live.
I believe that Marshall Mc Luhan was right in his "media is the message", besides I appreciate the works of Vance Packard's and Guy Debord's.
In recent years I developed an almost instinctive reaction of doubt whenever The Official Version of whatever happened comes up and is told by the MainStreamMedia.

I have lived the change from analog to digital and witnessed its consequences on society and habits.
Once an avid sci-fi reader, I stopped when I saw that Gibson's Neuromancer was becoming part of my daily life.
Then came the Matrix, then 9/11, then my interest in the so-called "conspiracy theories" (a pre-formed term I abhor) on a whole lot of events, going from the italian landscape of the '60s and '70s (and to the present day) to chemtrails, freemasonry, hidden power groups, mind control and all the symbols associated to them.

I have been visiting Cluesforum for years now, so after taking an awful lot I decided it was time to start giving back.

T21

P.S.
T21 is for Turista21, so both T21 and Turista are ok

Welcome, Turista/T21.

Thank you for writing cogently. Much appreciated.

Can you please tell us your personal views on Vance Packard and Guy Debord, and why you value their writings? I've never heard of them before and I am sure everyone is curious about new members' perspectives on available lit. It looks to me as though Packard is in the vein of Midwestern naturalist farmer-writer Thorstein Veblen (which Wikipedia suggests with a link) but he also worked for muckraking journals (no mark against him, I suppose) and Associated Press; Debord was a popular, artistic Marxist/socialist?

Looking at these characters, I wonder if we might consider starting a "muckraking" publication of sorts. Or perhaps we are already doing that.

:D
I was wondering - English not being my first language - what exactly "muckracking" or "muckracker" signifies. So I looked it up on the dictionary:
muckraker - one who spreads real or alleged scandal about another (usually for political advantage)
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Muckracking
So - if this is what "muckracking" means, then I must - for the sake of semantic correctness - vehemently disagree with you, Hoi :

We - the Cluesforum - do not (randomly) spread real or alleged scandals: we expose the real ones. For sure, we do not do this for any kind of political advantage - but only as a way to empower our individual selves and to share our diggings & findings (for free) with other, like-minded people.

Does that sound right? :)

Don't worry, Simon. Muckraking is a negative term for what I consider an occasionally positive social force. It's no surprise to me that the Free Dictionary does not explain the historical significance of it. Politicians hate it because it often calls for them to be accountable to their actions where others would not or don't have the time. I used it tongue-in-cheek to refer to us. Kind of like how we might be considered "conspiracy theorists" instead of alternative researchers or whatever.

What I was really considering was the possibility of making something like CluesForum as a journal. brianv had mentioned the idea of an online encyclopedia or "Wiki" of our own. All of it sounds good to me. Doing something instead of nothing seems good to me, though.
