Migration from InvisionFree

Unread post by hoi.polloi »

We have a week-long process or so, that could run into longer than a week, as we transfer all the data from this forum to the new forum. Why are we doing this?

A. More freedom. InvisionFree has posting policies that counteract free speech and the distribution of copyright exempt information because of their oversensitive copyright laws, which they frequently cite as reason for topic removal. We will not censor our own information as much if we have more freedom to post under the education & media criticism clauses.

-and-

B. More control. Being a database that we monitor, protect and mirror, the new forum will be easier to defend from hackers and - from our standpoint, though it might be impossible for outsiders to see it happening - we will be able to catch hacking attempts earlier than before and take appropriate action earlier.

I am temporarily closing posting rights on the board for today while we make a decision.

This will ultimately lead to one of two things happening:

1. The board remains closed for a week while we take available data and repost the latest data that didn't get into the database. Then, in one week (supergiu/more or less) the forum.septemberclues.org link will attach to the new forum.

-or-

2. We will re-open posting rights after today, and allow more posts up until we transfer, (a week or so from now), at which point we will repurchase the database with all the new posts and move those.

If - however - we do re-open posting, we will ask for donations until we achieve 30 or so to repurchase the database and some for server space (40? 200? We will try to find an affordable but reliable server). But we haven't decided if we are going with option 1 or 2 yet, so please bear with us while the forum is deactivated today.

Thanks!
hp

P.S.: In the meantime, in the spirit of the moon hoaxes, please enjoy this entertaining fake show about playing golf on the moon: http://feelgoodanyway.com/work/FGA_moon ... /index.php

Okay,

We are choosing option 1 - the forum is closed for a week.

We need funds to re-open the forum at a new secure server. The amount we need is 10 x 12 months = 120 for one year of this secure space.

It is the most secure space we could find on the Internet.

If you all donate 1, we will have enough for 2 years of hosting.

Please, consider a paypal donation. (scroll to bottom of our contact page)

Keep in mind the new forum will have different rules - it won't be exactly the same, but if you care about free speech, we guarantee we are trying to preserve a forum for people to talk about all the propaganda going on in our world.

Thanks

RELAX, FOLKS ! :)

Here is just to reassure everyone that we've managed to back up the entire forum's material/threads/posts/pictures just as they are. Nothing will be lost and the only 'aggravation' will be that members will have to register again to our new forum once it is up and running.

We are doing this in order to make our research safer and hopefully free from further disappearances of threads - and other miscellaneous oddities we've experienced lately with its functionalities. Our valiant, ongoing "War on Error" is demanding enough without having to combat it within our own 'walls'...

So chill out this week and stay cool, we are sorting it all out for the better and I trust you will appreciate the efforts we do to keep everything safely on track. We'll be keeping you updated about developments on a regular basis during this short transition period. The reason we have temporarily suspended posting rights is just because any new posts might be difficult/cumbersome to keep track of and integrate into our acquired forum database.

Warmest greetings to all - and let us never give up the good fight ! B)

For maximum transparency, I wish to keep everyone updated on the donations towards the expenses that our renewed efforts entail. Let it be clear that I have invested several years of unpaid work into this research (so has Hoi Polloi and a few other active colleagues & friends) - and we surely cannot be accused to be 'in it for the money'. The September Clues 'philosophy' has always been that of a freely-downloadable research database and will continue to be so. However, we certainly don't have unlimited resources and for us to keep doing this for free would, IMHO, actually expose us to more 'suspicion' than by asking for some (modest) donations from people who care. Of course, to quantify the 'costs' of running this research is nigh impossible - but cheap it is not. I dearly wish that, for us asking today for a little collective help (towards the costs/fees directly related to our internet presence & hostings) will not be seen as 'greed'. Rest assured that every penny received will go INTEGRALLY towards exposing the trillion-dollar 9/11 hoax (and of course - all the other media hoaxes of our times...)

Donations towards new September Clues forum :

Received as of today, November 7 2010

Number of donors:8
Total amount : 325euros

Simon Shack on FOX TV ?

Well, someone called 'Don Pedro' apparently proposed that I should be a guest on the FOX TV program "Freedom Watch"...This is hilarious!
(ok, so "Don Pedro" is not up to speed about the 3000 fake victims - but anyways...)

Have a look:

http://freedomwatch.uservoice.com/pages ... top&page=3

Hey, I'm just outside the top 50 - and on Page 3 (with Naomi Wolf, Stephen Colbert and Paul Krugman - hehehe!)

I'm also way ahead of :

Page 4: Jesse Ventura and Alex Jones

Page 5: Sibel Edmonds

Page 6: Richard Gage & Ralph Nader

Wow - my ego is positively exploding...(just joking, folks). Do I believe FOX will ever invite me on their show?

NO!

But how about pushing me up to page 2, folks? That would be funny !

******************************************************************

Now, let me just make a point - however surreal it might seem:

Barack Obama is featured on page 2 - and has 8 comments which go like this:

Bob Pineapple Wammy
Who the hell is Barrack Obama?

Steve
Of course he'd never do it, but how great would this be to see?

JohnC
He wouldn't even consent. He's the president of the United States. He has better things to tend to. Like converting what is left of our constitutional republic into a socialist republic.

Steven McDuffie
Obama gets sycophantic media attention. I would love to interview him I am writing a multi-part expose of Obama and his Administration. Click here to see it http://www.nolanchart.com/article6340.html

dave nalle
I'd say he gets more than enough media exposure already.

BobRobertson
With or without his teleprompter?

Nick
He'd be embarrassed big-time when confronted by true Constitutionalists. He'd never come on the show.

johnt.lewis
yea, right. That would never happen.

Well...little me has 13 comments - NONE of which sound so dismissive/sarcastic.

Does this mean I'm more credible than Barack Obama??'
Nah - it's just a stupid FOX poll which means nothing...Surely ! <_<

I think the Ron Paul celebrities Mike Beitler and Scott Davis making it to the top tells us the racist East Coast anti-liberal rednecks are a big fan base of this Fox web site.

Libertarians who mistakenly endorse the "free market" model forget that this means plutocracy, complete with oligarchy, royalty, and complete imbalance of powers - the opposite of the 'small government' they want to regulate the entire world. When questioned on these matters in anti-Libertarian media (incidentally, most of the media) they get stuck on this question because their belief is in the utopian perfection of human choice - and the errant belief that people with the most money will make the best decisions with their incredible influence and power. The smart ones don't view themselves as incorruptible but they sure are hocussing their Libertarian "friends" by pretending to be any sort of grassroots party.

The "sh#t on your neighbor" party. Wow. What a platform.

The "struggle" to enshrine this brand of Thoughtless Libertarianism is a perversion of original Libertarian intentions to find liberty for all whatever the political cost. This 'small government' model is preposterous and will result in the very opposite of what they espouse to solve today's problems. It will result in more gangs, more war, more needless spending and more oligarchs pushing whatever agenda they want. You can bet it will lead to more TV fakery and propaganda from all sides - as the richest collaborate to oppress the rest of the world. Like today. Now. The world we already live in. They are struggling for nothing less than a much worse, much more extremist version of the problems of today.

The real problem is the love of money as an object and the fact that we have all agreed to value something that has no value without actually using it for good in the world.

I am glad you are on the same page as them, Simon. But I don't see you as being on the 'same page' in other respects, if you know what I mean.

It would be the ultimate kick in the pants if these Tea Party idiots were the biggest promoters of September Clues. Don't they realize how they're being manipulated by the very gangs they complain about all the time? Alex Jones, Ron Paul, mutter mutter growl ...

Okay, sorry, rant over.

P.S. THANK YOU READERS SO MUCH FOR DONATING! We now have enough for over a full year of hosting space.

Speaking of valuing something that has no value, the official market at XE (apparently, unconnected to Xe, the new name for Blackwater) 100 euros translates into 140.322 USD

Apparently, our hosting service likes this digital form of nothingness, so thank you - what you have enabled us to do is continue our forum in a safer cyber environment. That is a gift. Thank you. Hopefully this means you like what we offer as a forum and as an alternative discussion to the media's. In that case, it is an honor to provide it.

Propagandaragazine Newsweek recently released an article called the Power 50 and the message they wanted to send was the following - which they used to frame their entire article - "In the hypercommodified media culture of 2010, the most influential political figures are the ones who make the most money."

Thank you - all of you - for PROVING THEM SO VERY WRONG! Hahahaha! Well done! We are all poor - Simon and I specifically 'starving artist' types who scrape by with the help of friends and family - and the discussions we are having together here matter more than anything the media will admit to.

"Hypercommodified" my butt. They mean, "help! we're losing our investors' trust that we can cover up all our lies!"

Hang on, folks - be patient!

We've had some technical issues to resolve but are working hard at our (secure) comeback! Stay tuned - we'll soon be up and running again! :)
