Did his best friend tell him or did his best friends daughter tell him? Did the poor girl who died text or call her best friends cell-phone during the staged event? Because if she is dead - I doubt she was killed by a photoshop created personage.
Is there any record of a flood of mobile phone calls and sms messages from the island during the alleged gun-rampage? If they are like the kids here who have cell-phones surgically attached borg-like, surely there must. Again, did any of the kids use their camera phones to film ABB?
I ask again why are the families NOT demanding that the government and top police officals resign for dereliction of office? For being a useless bunch of cnuts and turning a massacre into a photo opportunity for themselves and the bottom feeding media!
Isn't it amazing too that Reuter's & Co can make it to the scene of every major disaster before the ambulances!
Yes fbenario, great Album!!
My friend told me, not with any great emotion himself but pointing out that his daughter have a really hard time these days because her best friend was killed. He doesnt have custody of his daughter and see her maybe 4 times a year or so (She lives with her mother in another part of Norway) so he didnt really know the girl who died, although he recalled meeting her once or twice.
I dont know if she texted or called, but a lot of people did. Newsreports like this tell of a huge increase in phonetraffic from Utøya from around 17.00. Between 18.00 and 20.00 a lot of calls didnt get through because of capacity problems.

Below an article about the AMK personell receiving 113 calls, the equivalent of 911 call operators in USA. Their log, which is not public, have the first emergency call received at the time of 17.24.09. The short message from the caller being: There is a policeman and he is shooting wildly. After that the switchboard exploded with calls. The article further says that due to the high volume of calls, instead of keeping people on the line, as is normal in these situations, the operators had to make the conversations as short as possible, basically telling callers to stay put, hide and help is on the way. They also told callers to either shut off their phone or at least turn them on silent mode. The logic of course being that if you are hiding from a mad caller you dont really want your phone to start ringing...

There are loads and loads of news articles telling stories about sms coming from Utøya. no complete log has been published, and to dig up all newstories talking about SMS from Utøya is a full time job. VG has published a full sms conversation between Julie Bremnes (Utøya Survivor) and Marianne Bremnes (her mother) in the article below:

This is obviously in Norwegian, I can translate the first fiew pieces:
Klokken 17.42:Julie:

Julie:
Ok
OK
Julie:
Vi er livsredde!
Vi are terrified
As for filming the killer with a mobile cam. No reports of such, and I doubt kids would try to do it, as that would clearly be risking their life.
For your last question. This was a lone madman, at least thats what people believe that attacked the ruling party. The natural instinct of people here would be to support the part attacked, rather than demanding their resignation, which would basically be to give the killer what he wanted. Jens Stoltenberg (Prime minister) has been widely praised for his handling of the situation. There has been raised critisism of the police handling of the situation and the general readiness to deal with such an incident. The main part here is that people are asking why the Police Delta force doesnt have a troop transport helicopter on standby, but have to use cars. There have also been criticism of Eskild Pedersen, which is the leader of AUF. He was one of the first off the island, and went with 9-10 people in a boat which can fit up to 50. Some are wondering how a 27year old leader can run away and leave hundreds of kids down to the age of 13 to live or die on their own.
There has also been critisim of PST for focusing to much of Islamic terror threats and ignoring the threath from homegrown rightwing elements.
As funerals wind down, Im sure more questions will be asked and more critisism will come, but I doubt there will be calls for goverment resignation. One that has called for it is the killer, who according to reports wanted to give up more information if the goverment resigns.
Another interesting development today is that Fjordman has come forward. Fjordman have been an anonymus Norwegian blogger, blogging about the Islamic threath to Europe. He has been central in the Counterjihad network, mainly operating on the website "Gates of Vienna" and is mentioned in the alleged ABB manifesto as one of ABB´s greatest inspirations. In the hours after the attack persistent rumours circulated that the shadowy Fjordman charachter might be the actual shooter. Well, today, after many years of blogging anonymously he has come forward with name and picture.
Ok, thats it..now I better start working!
