Has anyone else noticed that all the photos are by Getty Images?

A Libyan woman reads a copy of the newly-issued daily newspaper Arus al-Bahr (Mermaid), bearing a doctored image of former Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi dressed as a woman in traditional outfit, in Tripoli on September 08, 2011, as new regime forces are poised to battle loyalist troops still holding out in the strongholds of Bani Walid, Sabha and Sirte, Kadhafi's hometown. Dear gwynned,

AP, AFP, Getty Images are the big-time fakers since day 1 of the Libyan events.
When I read the name Patric Baz, I was  .
We have met with his name a few months ago, regarding totally faked Libya pictures.
Same old, same old...

Dear fbenario,

Is this news for you?
Qaddafi took part in the War on Terror effort, sucked up to the USA, renounced WMDs, and his prisons were used to torture Talibs and Arabs, "terrorists" captured by US forces.
This was open knowledge, I mean this is not some secret. It just, you know, kind of got forgotten, and the news went with the flow.
This is a typical example of Media openly thinking of us we're stupid, with 5 minutes attention span.
Like, "Al Qaeda" was enemy and now fighting on NATO's side for democracy in Libya? Just like in the old Soviet days in Afghanistan, well, as per before "Al Qaeda" supposedly turned on his masters-what the old BS was in 2001. Say what? And its in the news, and its OK with everybody, no questions asked. WTF?
I maintain the opinion that the real "Al Qaeda" are Mossad/Mista'aravim pseudo-terrorist cells, plus patsy Arabs recruited by Mossad agents like in Gaza 2002 and fucked over to take the fall time and again, plus Media fakery helped by SITE/Mossad LAP working with US sanction. I have just read that in the Af/Pak war the US is using the pseudo-terrorist concept, too, main problem is Taliban cell-phone communication, so they jam the Talib phones when the pseudo-units operate the area, but I think it may give a clue to the Talibs to beware. Be it as it may, the SAS captured in Iraq "Playing an Arab" á la Mista'aravim wanting to blow up a mosque, gives you the clue that pseudo-terror is not simply a CI warfare tactic today, it is terrorism per se!

But what IS Getty images? Do they have a score of reporters that are on the scene or are they a film and image house that creates the images requested? What is it that they actually do and who would be a customer?

I can't find it now, but I found on their site a series of photos of Qadaffi and his family from at least 2004, providing a link between him and them. And it does provide a bit of support to my theory that Qadaffi is on the INside of this hoax.

Dear gwynned,

here is what wikipedia has to say on Getty Images:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Getty_Images
Getty Images, Inc. is a stock photo agency, based in Seattle, Washington, USA. ...
... In April 2003 Getty Images entered into a partnership with Agence France-Presse (AFP) to market each other's images.
Now, what on Earth is a stock photo agency?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_photography
Stock photography is the supply of photographs licensed for specific uses. It is used to fulfill the needs of creative assignments instead of hiring a photographer. Today, stock images can be presented in searchable online databases. They can be purchased and delivered online. Often, they are produced in studios using a wide variety of models posing as professionals, stereotypes, expressing stereotypical emotions and gesticulations or involving pets.
Now, that's interesting, huh?

Be that as it may, here is a NYT interview with our hero on the ground, Patric Baz:

Wow! What a find! This is the studio where they actually wag that dog so to speak. So it's all just green screen probably.

That interview is unbearable to read. But I did find it interesting that the hotel in Benghazi is filled with media yet no reports are getting out. Are they outsourcing the script writing to 12 years olds in Bangladesh?

I wonder who the genius was at ITV news that thought of using a video game to pass off as authentic footage.

The British TV Channel ITV Uses Video Game Footage To Connect Gaddafi To The IRA:
full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeRUyfWNj1s

The poster of the video says it all:
The lengths they will go to just to demonize someone for the justification of bombing their country and killing it's people are amazing.
ITV accused of using ArmA 2 game footage in IRA doc

I'm sure we'll see more of this type of chicanery from now on concerning video games, as the graphics become more realistic. This proves the point I made about using 100% CGI to fake footage in the thread titled "Falling Satellites and Dangers from Space", if you're going to use 100% CGI then it better look 100% real, which it often doesn't, video game or not.

DEAD or ALIVE?

"THERE was uncertainty today as to whether deposed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has been killed or just wounded and captured in his stronghold of Sirte."
http://www.independent.ie/world-news/mi ... 12783.html

Wickedpedia seems to know better already...

Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi
(Arabic: مُعَمَّر القَذَّافِي‎ Muʿammar al-Qaḏḏāfī
born 7 June 1942 - died 20 October, 2011)
