The MOON HOAX

If NASA faked the moon landings, does the agency have any credibility at all? Was the Space Shuttle program also a hoax? Is the International Space Station another one? Do not dismiss these hypotheses offhand. Check out our wider NASA research and make up your own mind about it all.

Showing my ignorance here, but I can't figure out how to include quotes from multiple pages of this thread. It seems I can only choose quotes from the last page of the thread and "Expand View" only seems to make the same page bigger and, so far, I haven't found anything about it in the "Tips" section...

Meanwhile, back on Earth...

Republic Moon Suit
Repstat American pressure suit, tested 1966 [!]. This was a Republic Aviation design for a hard space suit for extended operations on the lunar surface.
It was very popular in Life magazine in the 1960's -- and coincidentally resembled a suit from a Republic Pictures serials of the 1940's.

The man seen modeling the suit was Robert Morris. He was working as a consultant and technician for Republic Aviation on Long Island in the 1960's while at the same time starting a manufacturing business. The photo collection here was provided courtesy of his son. source:http://www.astronautix.com/cra ... htm

They're taking the piss, aren't they?
Tested in 1966, only 3 years before we (cough, cough) went to the Moon? An old rubbish tin with sleeves and gardening trousers!
It CAN'T have been taken seriously. It must have been the idle fancy of a semi-retarded man whose father had enough influence to force other people to humour his son's, er, 'creativity'.

I noticed in the topmost video from 1:05 to 1:51, the interview: no blink. I don't think I saw a blink in any other clip either, but they are perhaps too short to qualify for blink verification. I think I will find some other extended Buzz clips, maybe sponsor a contest offering a virtual high-five to anyone who can produce a video clip of Buzz blinking. Is this significant? I don't know. But it's weird.

Maybe that's why they call him Buzz.

aw, c'mon dude... give Buzz a break ! ...even though his projections were messed up,
at least he still managed to film all the frogs.
...before he squashed them.

People here already know about this and more NASA missions being fake ...
Would not it be even nicer if we would find and describe the
cinematographic technique they exactly used.

In the video takes reel has already shown there was a backdrop being projected on a screen
when the astronaut from apollo 17 bumps against it and suddenly changes direction.

Image

The transparency of the nuts in the Apollo 11 tv transmissions makes me think the
landscape was being projected ONTO them nuts, in this instance. What you think?

reckon hollycrap just nailed it...
spacemans aint see-thru;
spacemans been projected onto.

Front Projection

Front Projection (often abbreviated FP) is a technique which can achieve the same result as green screen,
but "in camera," that is to say, the composition of subject and background is complete as the combined
image is acquired by the camera.
When the projector is operating, the background plate is projected onto the front surface of the beamsplitter.
A portion of the image is transmitted through the beamsplitter. In ordinary applications, the transmitted part of
the image is absorbed by a black surface on the side of the beamsplitter opposite the projector,
to avoid stray reflections.

The only portion of the image not accounted for in the foregoing discussion is that part of the projected background
matte which falls on the actors or other foreground subjects.
:o Foreground lighting, combined with the extreme deficit
in retroreflectivity of the foreground subjects in comparison to the special screen, mean that
the part of the projected image which falls on the actors is so dim as to not be detectable in-camera. ;)

BlisterHiker tries really hard to prove Moon Landings were real,
& he uses some really good clips to back up his 'hoax debunk';
such a shame for him NA$A are the real hoaxers.
to me it looks like Apollo 11s see-thru spacemans & hopping frogs
were so disastrous that they almost abandoned the front-screen
projection technique wherever possible, & shot most of the later
films at 'Moon-like' desert locations, although much of the lunar
'photography' still looks like it retained the scotchlite technique...

Beginning at 4:09 PM E.S.T. on May 2, arc300 posted in this thread a number of excellent, thought-provoking analyses of space issues I had never before considered. Where did they all go?

What posts are you referring to? I see a lot of gems he posted, the last thing being a post discussing air-pressure, containing a video of a Julius Sumner Miller Physics lecture.

I don't remember the substance, so I can't search for them. The fine 'air-pressure' post was earlier in the day on the 2nd. There were then 3 in fairly quick succession later in the same day. I wrote a note to go back and reread them later, and am just now getting back to it.
