In the meantime, BBC website mentions hackers' attack on several BBC Twitter accounts (Thursday 21 March afternoon).
Several BBC Twitter accounts, including its weather, Arabic and Radio Ulster feeds were hijacked by a group calling itself Syrian Electronic Army earlier.

Because it does, life does go on as best it can under any circumstance.
I guess you are referring to this 'poor' BBC lady...

No of course not. I was talking about a documentary about Syrias' History.

Not the soap opera called The News.

The News is merely the mouth piece of 'The Establishment'. I haven't watched one for over seven years, if I did this lap top would surely have been thrown out of the window, since I have no gun to shoot it with.

I know it is fashionable to hate the BBC now a days, its faults have ever been so. Their purse strings are held by Gov, ever more tightly, but there are lines to read between sometimes. The things you question on Cluesforum ;wonderfully, and I am very great full for your work; I have been questioning for over fifty years now, nothing super about that, I am certainly not alone and there have been people like us all through History often with far more to loose by their questioning than we do and often, in freer times, thought of as mere eccentrics. but though I am not special I do have the memory of 'time past' , I do remember the battles the Beeb has had with the Government and how the Government has tamed and quietened it. I don't say that as an excuse, I too wish it were other wise and that they had fought the good fight ....even though it would most probably have been to their death.

Thank you for the youtube, I hadn't seen it.

I think we all know since Iraq, when journalists were open targets of the USA, Terry Lloyd especially, that there are no more War Correspondence.

Funny you should mention Terry Lloyd, somethings been niggling at me about it recently. Interesting too, is that the news footage is conspicuously absent from Youtube and the internet! For those who are unfamiliar with the story, Terry Lloyd of ITN was allegedly killed by American "forces" at the start of the Iraq war. A great deal was made of the alleged "footage" then. Where is it?

See the links at bottom ie ITN - Lloyd footage may have been edited

Retirement in the Village? Who knows!

edit: Eek, it was the tenth anniversary yesterday. I hate when that happens.

And there is was, gone.

They say that the Americans gave it to 'us' with seconds missing but I could swear there was other footage that was shown at the time. Memory is a funny thing but I do remember thinking when they were complaining about the US footage not being complete 'but what about the other footage we saw ?' I don't remember what nationality the cameraman was, Italian ? I'm not really sure now but whether those many journalists in Iraq where or where not actually killed, it was the end of freelancing or Independence and the beginning of 'embedded' wasn't it ?

Though 'and we bring to you WAR live from the ....' began with the Falklands ? That was so shocking, I couldn't believe they were really gonna do it but they did.

'

Was ABC's "60 Minutes" Twitter Feed Hacked by Syrians? Or some other entity claiming to be Syrian?

I couldn't find this image anywhere else on the web and its ELA is suspect. As far as I know, it originated on Facebook (telltale sign of fakery?)

Humanity has plummeted to a new low with this ridiculous piece "denounced by Human Rights Watch".
(http://www.hrw.org/news/2013/05/13/syri ... atrocities)

"Cannibal Rebel Eats Heart of Syrian Soldier"

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ofBxeB7DVU
Human Rights Watch repeated its call to the United Nations Security Council to refer the Syria situation to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to ensure accountability for all war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Guess what this talk about "crimes against humanity" reminds me of...

Next time terror events are sold to the world in the form of piss-poor footage, at least we know it´s for our own good:
Because of the extremely graphic and disturbing nature of the video, Human Rights Watch has decided not to publicly release the footage, although an edited and blurred version is available on the internet.

Re: The "insurgency" in Syria, 2011- 2013...Gas deaths

Unread post by icarusinbound »

Very surprised there's been no comment on Clues so far regarding the recent news coming from Syria regarding what's being reported as a huge death toll caused by nerve gas.

BBC News coverage has been quite heavy, at least via UK NPR.

See http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... -dead.html as a primer.

WARNING- graphic images of dead babies & children (which I would find disturbing irrespective of the medium they were represented in...watercolours, X-Box, HD video)

Some key observations from the narrative, as being broadcast by the UK media:

- the attack happened days after the arrival of UN weapons inspectors (who are allegedly still there). They are reported as banned by the government from attending.

- Red Cross / Red Crescent are allegedly keen to assist, but are also allegedly banned...

- Reports on the BBC refer repeatedly to there being "hundreds of videos of the victims". Not reposts. Hundreds of independant, mutually-substantiating videos

- Fascinating comments on Wed morning made by (I think) the BBC reporter Jeremy Bowen, where he stated something to the equivalent of 'this can't be an Internet fabrication (his term) due to the scale of the atrocity, and the logistical improbability of being able to organise so many physical simulated victims).

- the BBC's Middle East reporter is seen being filmed whilst 'analysing' footage on a monitor (please, how much more proof do you need that this is precisely what it's claimed to be?). He notes that some of the video content starts before the commencement of calls to prayers, thus helping to narrow-down when the attack (actually..) began falling from the skies.

Wow. Where to begin? Has anyone had the chance to try looking at this latest layer-cake confection?

Wow, that's pretty hilarious. In a nauseating way. Thanks for picking up the hooks of this concoction and showing us there's another big Reuters-AP fishing tournament going on. We can only presume the details are getting more convoluted the more they must acknowledge fakery goes on regularly.

But how vaguely! It's like they're sprinting away from accusations as fast as possible while shouting back,

"Unlike those other stories you know are fake and we know are fake — but which we will never apologize for, atone for or even admit are fake on any level because it would be our asses you'd bust — this story is definitely real. Not fakeable. Trust us. Even though we've still given you no reason to do so. You know you already trust us."

It's surreal. Pathetic. Bizarre. Comical. They must be praying either they won't get caught or they can use their fakery as a cover to perform real crimes that people won't believe because so much fakery is going on now. They're playing with very tenuous psychology here. I think pretty soon they might make another huge blunder, trip over themselves and fall on their faces. Like the "nose-out" video did for 9/11 or the "bubbles in space" and "transparent astronauts" did for the NASA lies.

I don't follow this conflict with too much interest, is it a kind of civil war against the president, Bashar al-Assad? Born on September 11th, :) son of the previous president. :o Is this democracy or what?

Are these people really dead or just resting? Any forensic expert in the forum?

A nose-out video? Heh, how about a 'graphic image' with six pristine-clad, speckless / bloodless 'adult corpses' half-in/ half-out of the earth - and a seemingly seven-foot tall 10-year-old towering over the scene?

You've gotta love the white 'fairy dust' added for extra pathos...

Actor exposed in the so called chemical attacks.
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=4a9_1377562800
This is reminiscent of the Kuwaiti "princess' crying and blaming Iraqi soldiers for throwing babies out of incubators. Or Colin Powel claiming weapons of destruction are ready to be used by Saddam.

The statement yesterday from a senior British Labour party politician. Her words were played across all UK MSM yesterday evening.

And yes, although she is speaking in metaphor, her words are so ironic...one might almost consider them to be taunting
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... sures.html
Ms Abbott, the shadow health
minister, told the Guardian she
was opposed to British
involvement based on the
current available evidence.
'I voted against the Iraq War. At
the moment, I can't see anything
that would make me vote for
intervention in Syria,' she said.
'The British public have seen this
movie and they know how it
ends'.
