In an exceptional case it's possible to land a rocket. (in a microformat)

Doing this with a 100.000x heavier rocket seems VERY implausible to me. (stuff would break)

And then this goes up, 10 seconds and comes down.

During the "flight" it disappears for a bit. Could it be a laser with sound effects?
Or is the whole video we see here composed? It seems so real with all the people there.

Anyhow it seems like a magic trick to me.

Anyone lives close there to take a look at one of the "landings"?

Thinking on how you could pull of the magic trick.

Could you put a balloon up on a 1km string? When you pull it back, set a burner on high fire, and then blast some explosions and cool sound effects to mimic a landing?

It just gives huge magic trick vibes to me. A stage. A public on a defined location. "Feel the heat seats" grandstand at Kennedy Space Center.

Tickets. A performance.

I'm though wondering, how they pull of the magic trick. Anyone?

Why do they sit behind those screens? Do they control the rocket? What's this "control room"? And the crowds behind it. David bowie screaming , shouldn't they be concentrated?

The more I look at it, the dumber it gets, it's such a big show, it's so well presented, these "analysts", it just doesn't make sense from a logical point of view.

Phonyation indeed , very much a circus . The synchronised diving of the used rockets is beyond belief. Space travel must be so easy so why aren't we holidaying on the moon ?

First time I've watched a whole "launch" through . Entertaining but really on the level the old Space Patrol and Fireball XL5 flights ( have to be really old to recall those). I'm sure I spotted prof. Mathew Matic in front of a screen in the control room.
