The The - Good Morning Beautiful.
From 1989.

Islamic call to prayer...
Satellite oh Satellite, who sits upon our skies,
how deep do you see when you spy into our lives
?

I know that God lives in everybody's souls

and the only devil in your world
 lives in the human heart
So now ask yourself:
What is human?
And what is truth
?
Ask yourself
: Whose voice is it that whispers unto you?

From the cellars of your homes

From the tops of your city roofs

Ask yourself
: Whose voice is it that whispers unto you?

Who is it?

That can reach down from above and set yours souls ablaze with love,

Or fill you with the insanity of violence and it's brother lust
Who is it?

Whose words have been twisted beyond recognition -
in order to build your planet Earth's religions?
Who is it?

Who could make your little armies of the left
and your little armies of the right -
light up your skies tonight?
Now some of you may live...and some of you may die

But remember
that nothing in the world can kill you inside

For he is thinking of you
 - in your great cities of great solitude
Oh children you've still got a lot to fucking learn
The only path to heaven is via hell...
Good Morning Beautiful...
Goodbye world.

BLIND-BLIND-BLIND... who's blind, David ?

Wrench: "Wrence, wrenc, deceit, a trick"

Signs
Signs are lost
Signs disappeared
Turn invisible
Got no sign
Somebody got busted
Got a face of stone
And a ghostwritten biography
Dogs start to run in
Hungry for some food
Dogs start a-twitching
And they're looking at you
It was light
By five
Torn all apart
All in the name of democracy
He's hurt
He's dying
Claimed he was a terrorist
Claimed to avert a catastrophe
Someone should'a told him
That the buck stops here
No one ever said
That he was involved with thieves

[Chorus:]
And they're blind, blind
Blind, blind, blind, blind, blind
Blind, blind
Blind, blind, blind, blind, blind

[Verse 2:]
No sense of harmony, no sense of
Time, don't mention harmony, say
What is it? What is it? What is it? Give
A little shock, and he raises his hand
Somebody shouts out, says: what is
It? What is it? What is it?
He was shot down in the night! Peop-
Ple ride by but his body's still alive
The girl in the window what has she
Done? She looks down at me
Says: "I don't want to die!"

[Chorus:]
And I'm blind, blind
Blind, blind, blind, blind, blind
Blind, blind
Blind, blind, blind, blind, blind

[Verse 3:]
Somebody could have told us where they go
Crawling all around looking for foot, foot, footprints
Now tell me what the hell have we become?
Some dirty little bastards what the hell is going on?
No sense of harmony, no sense of
Time, don't mention harmony, say:
What is it? What is it? What is it? Give
A little shock, and he raises his hand
Somebody shouts out, says: what is
It? What is it? What is it?
He was shot down in the night!
People ride by but his body's still alive
The girl in the window what has she
Done? She looks down at me
Says: "i don't want to die!"

[Chorus:]
They're blind and they're blind
Blind, blind, blind, blind, blind
Blind, blind
Blind, blind, blind, blind, blind
Blind, blind
Blind, blind, blind, blind, blind
Blind, blind
Blind, blind, blind, blind, blind

Rakim - It's Been A Long Time [DJ Premier - Original Version]

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88BPk903jUQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88BPk903jUQ

[Intro: Samples]
"It's been a long time.."
".. Rakim, the microphone soloist"

[Verse 1]
Follow procedures, the crowd couldn't wait to see this
Nobody been this long awaited since Jesus
Who wouldn't believe this—I heard the word on the street is
I'm still one of the deepest on the mic since Adidas
They said I changed the times from the rhymes that I thought of
So I made some more to put the New World in Order
With Mathematics, put your status above the average
And help you rappers, make paragraphs with graphics
Cause new days is dawning, new ways of performing
Brainstorming, I write and watch the night turn to morning
On and on and, I got the whole world responding
Rock, I keep it hot and blow the spot without warning
The Emperor, well known for, inventing a sentence
Full of adventure, turning up the temperature
Rush with adrenaline, how long has it been again
To be in the state of mind that Rakim is in?

[Hook: Samples]
"It's been a long time.."
".. Rakim, the microphone soloist"

[Verse 2]
When I'm out propping—either hanging or shopping—
People see me, stop, and ask me when the album dropping
The wait is over, in formation like a soldier
Like I told ya, greater stronger, now that I'm older
I broke the, code of silence with overloads of talents
My only challenge, is not to explode in violence
I'm Asiatic, and blazing microphones a habit
At least once during the course of a day, it's automatic
In ghetto apparel, mind of a Egyptian Pharoah
Far from shallow, thoughts travel like an arrow
Allah's monotony, so far they can't stop me
You know, Ra want property like Muammar Gaddafi
More thoughts than Bibles, recital, taught disciples
A sawed off mic, so words scatter like a rifle
Thoughts that's trifle, I'm busting these for you
Ayo, technical difficulties is through

[Hook: Samples]
"It's been a long time.."
".. Rakim, the microphone soloist"

[Verse 3]
When I flow tonight, I show them new heights, I go to write
They know I strike with new prototypes to blow the mic
Critics and biters, don't know where my source of light is
Still leave authors and writers with arthritis
Cursed kids like the Pyramids when they found the style
First to ever let a rhyme flow down the Nile
The rebirth of hip-hop'll be dropped now
Cause the crowd didn't hear the original in a while
So be alarmed, what you bout to see is the bomb
Like 3D in 'Nam, vivid like CD-Rom
Info kept like "internet.com"
My notebook's my bond like the Holy Qu'ran
Since I came in the door, said it before
But no I ain't down with Eric B. no more
At night the open mic be inviting me to rhyme
So, yo, I'm online; it's been a long time

Dear members & readers,

In this new year of 2019 which has started quite beautifully (here in central Italy at least - where I sunbathed today in my garden!), I would like to dedicate this song to all of you valiant and righteous truthseekers - because I truly love and respect you all for helping out exposing and weed out the many deceptions infesting this otherwise magnificent planet of ours. Let this year be the one that finally knocks down the door of lies that stands between us and the sunny skies of verity. -_-

THE DOOR: https://thesocialservice1.bandcamp.com/track/the-door

THE DOOR
As the mood goes up
The anguish comes down
You're feeling like a butterfly
Soaring away
You're not the only one
Knocking on the door of lies
The lies that define our lives
You're not the only one
You're not the only one
Who's knocking on the door
You're not the only one
Keep knocking on the door - keep knocking on the door
And one fine day we will knock it down
Knocking on the door of lies
You're not the only one
Who's knocking on the door
You're not the only one
Knocking on the door of lies

Just to clarify, ADD/ADHD is categorized as one of three ways, predominately hyperactive, predominately inattentive (ADD) and combined. ADD is under ADHD, so you wouldn’t be wrong technically speaking if you said he had ADHD.
Also, speaking from a first hand account – ADD seriously wrecks your normal relationships with people as compared to somebody without it. Forgetting and not remembering may sound like baby blues, but this small personality trait or “disorder” it can create huge emotional distances between people. And when you cant recall the past the only choices you have are to take medication so that you can function but lose a part of yourself, or “sail” and just deal with this shit hand you’ve been dealt.

And all these labels be trying to lure us in like spiders
Into the web, you know what I'm saying
So sometimes people gotta come out and speak up
And let people understand
That you know you gotta read the label
You gotta read the label
If you don't read the Label you might get poisoned

Tupac Shakur & Bipolar Disorder, Part 1 – Tales of Manic Depression
By Erica Loberg
Last updated: 2 Sep 2013

As seen in the history of writers diagnosed with bipolar disorder, we are now able to look at writers who were not “diagnosed” with bipolar disorder, yet, through analyzing the work and stringing similarities from previous artists, we can point to the possibility that some poets grow from a manic depressive brain.

Tupac Amaru Shakur – American Rapper (1971 – 1996)

Tupac Shakur holds the Guinness World Record for the highest selling rap/hip hop artist, selling 74 million worldwide and 44 million in the US alone. Prior to his music career, Shakur was a published poet. At the age of 18 years old he published over a 100 poems in “The Rose that Grew from the Concrete.” Frank Palisano III, writer for the Lummox Journal writes:

There is a simple charm to Tupac’s words without running the risk of being simple. The Rose That Grew From Concrete is the most complete portrait we have thus far of Tupac’s bipolar artistic expressiveness.

Shakur’s “bipolar artistic expressiveness” does not mean Shakur is clinically bipolar, however, a look at his material opens the door to the “possibility” of this being the case.

Tupac Shakur, Death & Bipolar Disorder, Part 2
By Erica Loberg
Last updated: 2 Sep 2013

SO MANY TEARS

And though my soul was deleted, I couldn’t see it
I had my mind full of demons trying to break free
They planted seeds and they hatched, sparkin’ the flame
Inside my brain like a match.

Shakur speaks of demons in his brain and uses the metaphor of a match to describe the feeling inside his brain as it sparks. The vivid image and selective language unleashes a mind with piercing insight and honest articulation which distinguished him from his peers and gives him a place among those of his mind. Shakur had the talent to rap in quick beats that modeled the beats of his brain. Music provided a rhyme for Shakur to express himself though the bursts of thoughts that contained vivid imagery and keen insight. Not all bipolar writers have the gift of song, but still they managed to express themselves with their words:

2Pac - So Many Tears [HD]

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5-i-UDKAsE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5-i-UDKAsE

[Intro]
I shall not fear no man but God
Though I walk through the valley of death
I shed so many tears
If I should die before I wake
Please God walk with me
Grab a nigga and take me to Heaven

[Verse 1]
Back in elementary, I thrived on misery
Left me alone, I grew up amongst a dyin' breed
Inside my mind couldn't find a place to rest
Until I got that Thug Life tatted on my chest
Tell me, can you feel me? I'm not livin' in the past
You wanna last? Be the first to blast
Remember Kato, no longer with us, he's deceased
Call on the sirens, seen him murdered in the streets
Now he rest in peace
Is there a heaven for a G? Remember me
So many homies in the cemetery, shed so many tears

[Refrain]
I suffered through the years
And shed so many tears
Lord, I lost so many peers
And shed so many tears

[Verse 2]
Now that I'm strugglin' in this business, by any means
Label me greedy gettin' green, but seldom seen
And fuck the world 'cause I'm cursed
I'm havin' visions of leavin' here in a hearse
God, can you feel me?
Take me away from all the pressure and all the pain
Show me some happiness again
I'm goin' blind, I spend my time in this cell, ain't livin' well
I know my destiny is Hell, where did I fail?
My life is in denial and when I die
Baptized in eternal fire, shed so many tears

[Refrain]
Lord, I suffered through the years
And shed so many tears
Lord, I lost so many peers
And shed so many tears

[Verse 3]
Now I'm lost and I'm weary, so many tears
I'm suicidal, so don't stand near me
My every move is a calculated step
To bring me closer to embrace an early death
Now there's nothin' left
There was no mercy on the streets
I couldn't rest, I'm barely standin'
About to go to pieces, screamin' peace
And though my soul was deleted, I couldn't see it
I had my mind full of demons tryin' to break free
They planted seeds and they hatched, sparkin' the flame
Inside my brain like a match, such a dirty game
No memories, just a misery
Paintin' a picture of my enemies killin' me in my sleep
Will I survive 'til the morning to see the sun?
Please Lord, forgive me for my sins, 'cause here I come

[Refrain]
Lord! (God!)
I suffered through the years
And shed so many tears
God, I lost so many peers

[Verse 4]
And Lord knows I tried, been a witness to homicide
Seen drive-by's takin' lives, little kids die
Wonder why as I walk by
Broken-hearted as I glance at the chalk line, gettin' high
This ain't the life for me, I wanna change
But ain't no future bright for me, I'm stuck in the game
I'm trapped inside a maze
See this Tanqueray influenced me to gettin' crazy
Disillusioned lately, I've been really wantin' babies
So I could see a part of me that wasn't always shady
Don't trust my lady 'cause she's a product of this poison
I'm hearin' noises, think she's fuckin' all my boys
Can't take no more, I'm fallin' to the floor
Beggin' for the Lord to let me in to Heaven's door
Shed so many tears

[Refrain]
Lord, lost so many peers
And shed so many tears
I lost so many peers
And shed so many tears
Lord, I suffered many years
And shed so many tears
God, I lost so many peers
And shed so many tears

Ronnie Van Zant's protest song - "Things Goin' On" (1973)

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVTDgswdERo

Well have you ever been down in the ghetto?
Have you ever felt that cold wind blow?
Well if you don't know what I mean
Won't you stand up and scream
'Cause there's things goin' on that you don't know

Too many lives they spent across the ocean
Too much money they spent upon the moon

Well until they make it right
I hope they never sleep at night
They better make some changes and do it soon

They're gonna ruin the air that we breathe Lord have mercy
They're gonna ruin us all by and by
I'm telling all you beware
I don't think they really care
Think they just sit up there
And just get high

Well have you ever been down in the ghetto?
Have you ever felt that cold wind blow?
Well if you don't know what I mean
Won't you stand up and scream
'Cause there's things goin' on that you don't know

Well if you don't know what I mean
Won't you stand up and scream
'Cause there's things goin' on that you don't know

That was a lovely song, dear MichiganJ - thanks !
Although Lynyrd Skynyrd was a band I listened to (ages ago, one could say) I wasn't familiar with this one.
Condemning the overseas wars and the overskies hoax(es) in only a couple of lines! Brilliant! ^_^

You're welcome dear Simon. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Isn't it curious that the last flight of Apollo (Dec. '72) and the withdrawal of U.S. troops in Vietnam (Jan. '73) happened within a few weeks of each other?

No pussyfooting, no tiptoeing, no walking on eggshells… In other words, No Half Steppin!

Big Daddy Kane - Aint No Half Steppin

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2l2O-JOXG_I
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2l2O-JOXG_I

[Intro]
Mmm, mmm, mmm
Aw Yea, I'm with this
I'm just gonna sit here laid back to this nice mellow beat, you know
And drop some smooth lyrics cause '88
Time to set it straight, know what I'm saying?
And ain't no half stepping
Word, I'm ready

[Verse 1]
Rappers stepping to me, they want to get some
But I'm the Kane, so yo, you know the outcome
Another victory, they can't get with me
So pick a B.C. date cause you are history
I'm the authentic poet to get lyrical
For you to beat me, it's gonna take a miracle
And stepping to me, yo that's the wrong move
So what you on, Hobbs, dope or dog food?
Competition, I just devour
Like a pit bull against a Chihuahua
Cause when it comes to being dope, hot damn
I got it good, now let me tell you who I am
The B-I-G D-A-double-D-Y K-A-N-E
Dramatic, Asiatic, not like many
I'm different, so don't compare me to another
Cause they can't hang, word to the mother
At least not with the principal in this pedigree
So when I roll on you rappers, you better be
Ready to die because you're petty
You're just a butter knife, I'm a machete
That's made by Ginsu, wait until when you
Try to front, so I can chop into
Your body, just because you try to be basing
Friday the 13th, I'ma play Jason
No type of joke, gag, game, puzzle or riddle
The name is Big Daddy, yes, Big—not little
So define it, here's your walking papers, sign it
And take a walk as the Kane start to talk, cause

[Hook]
Ain't no half-steppin'
I'm the Big Daddy Kane
Ain't no half-steppin'
I'm the Big Daddy Kane
Ain't no half-steppin'
I'm the Big Daddy Kane
"Down the road"

[Verse 2]
My rhymes are so dope and the rappers be hoping
To sound like me, so soon I'll have to open
A school of emceeing, for those who want to be in
My field in court, then again on second thought
To have emcees coming out sounding so similar
It's quite confusing for you to remember
The originator, and boy do I hate a
Perpetrator, but I'm much greater
The best, oh yes, I guess suggest the rest should fess
Don't mess or test your highness
Unless you just address with best finesse
And bless the paragraph I manifest
Rap prime minister, some say sinister
Non-stopping the groove, until when it's the
Climax, and I max, relax and chill
Have a break from a take of me acting ill
Brain cells are lit, ideas start to hit
Next the formation of words that fit
At the table I sit, making it legit
And when my pen hits the paper, ah $chitt

I stop and stand strong over emcees
And devour with the power of Hercules
Or Samson, but I go further the length
Cause you could scalp my Cameo and I'll still have strength
And no, that's not a myth, and if you try to riff
Or get with, the man with the given gift of gab
Your vocab, I'll only ignore
Be sleeping on your rhymes till I start to snore
You can't awake me, or even make me
Fear you, son, cause you can't do me none

So, think about it if you're trying to go
When you want to step to me, I think you should know that

[Hook]
Ain't no half-steppin'
I'm the Big Daddy Kane
Ain't no half-steppin'
I'm the Big Daddy Kane
Ain't no half-steppin'
I'm the Big Daddy Kane
"Down the road"

[Verse 3]
I appear right here and scare and dare
A mere musketeer that would dare to compare
Put him in the rear, back there where he can't see clear
Get a beer, idea or near stare, yeah
So on to be want to be competition
Trying to step to me, must be on a mission
Up on the stage is where I'ma get you at
You think I'm losing? Pfft, picture that

[Hook]
Ain't no half-steppin'
I'm the Big Daddy Kane
Ain't no half-steppin'
I'm the Big Daddy Kane
Ain't no half-steppin'
I'm the Big Daddy Kane
Mister Cee, step to me

[Verse 4]
The name is Big Daddy, you know, as in, your father
So when you hear a def rhyme, believe that I'm the author
I grab the mic and make emcees evaporate
The party people say, 'Damn, that rapper's great'
The creator, conductor of poetry
Et cetera, et cetera, it ain't easy being me
I speak clearly so you can understand
Put words together like Letter Man

Now that's dictation, proceeding to my innovation
Not like the other emcees that are an imitation
Or an animation, a cartoon to me
But when I'm finished, I'm sure that you are soon to see
Reality, my secret technique
Because I always speak with mentality
I put my title in your face, dare you to base
And if you try and come get it, yo I'ma show you who's with it
So if you know like I know, instead of messing around
Play like Roy Rogers and slow down
Just give yourself a break, or someone else will take
Your title, namely me, cause I'm homicidal
That means murder, cause I'm about to hurt a-
Nother emcee, that try to get with me
I'll just break him and bake him and rake him
And take him and mold him and make him
Hold up the peace sign, as salaam alaikum!

BTW, Simple Man has to be one of the most moving songs I’ve ever heard.
